RADIUS LAB GIN (BATCH NO 5) “Test & Create”; (@radius_distillery ) . Juniper berries are not always used in Gin (all though I’m pretty sure you all-gin drinkers would believe so 😇) but also in herbal medicine 💉and certain foods. Although they are called berries, they are part of the cone and not a true berry. When consuming large amounts of juniper berries, it could cause mild toxicity symptoms 🤢 (So that’s why I feel the way I do “the day after” 😇) . BOTTLE & DESIGN One word comes to mind looking at this bottle; Elegance! 👌🏽From its wooden lid cap to the clear, almost invisible glass with a small patch on the back, stating the ingredients, the distillery’s GPS position (excellent feature), batch No., and ABV. On the front two black labels, DYMO labels, stating the brand and the batch number. A cool and modern feature that gives an overall "high-end" feeling . FIRST SNIFF When pouring into a glass the aromas explodes 🎉out of the glass. Intense juniper compiled with coriander and mustard. It’s a great first sniff, and you want to explore more (and often); which I off course did ☺️ . FIRST TASTE When sipping it neat it’s as with the scent; a refreshing mix of the classic juniper taste, coriander and yellow mustard seeds. This could go very nicely with a classic Martini 🍸(any Martini riffs really, like the , Tuxedo No. 2, Bowtie or The Suit, which I have all made in the past here on IG; do check them out whenever you feel for it) 💪 . FIRST MARTINI 5 CL Gin 3 CL Kina Lillet Blanc (@lilletdk ) 1 dash of Olive bitters (@thebittertruthcompany ) Serve with plenty ice ❄️ Squeeze and insert lemon peel 🍋 Enjoy 🖤 Skål 🥂 . Just a marvellous gin (Batch No 5) that everybody can enjoy. It satisfies the Juniper-fans as well as the more subtle cocktail crafters. It screams to be teamed up with a good Vermouth, but I’m confident it will dance just nicely with a good Tonic as well eg.
