"Why do you only kiss me when I'm asleep?"

Aris was startled by the question, mouth agape as Gally barely peeked his eyes open. "I... didn't realise you were awake..."

With a soft snort, Gally let his eyes fall closed again. "Figured," he murmured, settling his head more on his pillow. "S'why I asked."

"Oh..." Clearing his throat, Aris dropped his gaze and shuffled back onto his side of the bed.

"Don't." One of Gally's hands reached blindly for Aris, huffing through his nose. "Come back."

Shifting a little, but not moving closer, Aris mumbled, "Sorry I woke you."

"You didn't," Gally sighed, still reaching. "C'mon."

Aris slowly crept his way back across the mattress until Gally could wrap an arm around his waist. "It just feels safer," he whispered.

Gally's brow furrowed, eyes opening again. "Safer how?"

"Well..." Refusing to meet Gally's eyes, Aris admitted, "I don't... do relationships like other people. Don't wanna give you the wrong idea..." He tugged anxiously at the hem of his sleep shirt. "You can't get the wrong idea if you're asleep."

A long moment of nothing, then Gally's arm pulled Aris closer. "We talked about that, though," he frowned, free hand coming up to thumb at Aris' chin. "We won't do anything you don't want."

"I know..."

Gally heaved a sigh, shifting his head to press their foreheads together. "I'm not stupid, y'know," he half-laughed. "I know people think I am, but I'm not about to get confused about the difference between kissing and sex."

Face flushing hot, Aris kept his eyes down and bit his tongue.

"You're okay with kisses?" Gally checked, combing his fingers through Aris' hair.

Cautiously flicking his gaze up to meet Gally's, Aris nodded once.

"Okay." Gally leaned in closer and pressed a sweet kiss to Aris' mouth, sending a pleasant wave of warmth through Aris' body. "There," Gally whispered.

"Yeah," Aris confirmed so quietly he barely heard himself.

"You don't have to wait 'til I'm asleep," Gally murmured brushing his knuckles along Aris' jaw. "Okay?"

Sibbi was not happy with the current turn of events. He had been quiet happy preforming within this large coastal city, but unfortunately someone had recognized him, and contacted his mother. He could piece this all together because he had seen members of his house guard asking questions at the tavern he had been staying at.
