Maybe she's judging you because neither she nor Polk has brown eyes, but did you think about that before singing about some strange brown-eyed girl, Sam? No. It seems you did not.
I personally think she just doesn’t like sha la las.Â

Flower shop AUs have the advantage of being able to nerd out about the language of flowers xD
See, I don’t buy the language of flowers, nobody seems to be able to cite sources about it :DÂ

So tell me again, who’s writing this fic and where can I find it :D
The nice thing about the Star Wars fandom is that if you put an idea out there in the universe and wait long enough, it’s so huge that someone’s bound to write it sooner or later. I don’t know who’s writing this fic but I bet it is located “about two months from now”.Â

I feel "the AUs where the person has never worked in an office but that isn't going to stop them" so much. But also Sam, this sounds like you have some great AU fic recs to share.
Oh, it was set off by an office AU I was recently reading where in the entire three thousand odd words, not once was it mentioned what the people in the office did or what the client wanted from them. And I didn’t care! It was still fun.Â
But my actual thesis about all this began forming in response to my brief jaunt through Check Please fanfic, because Check Please fanfic predominantly comes in two flavors -- whatever else is going on in it, there is either a painfully intense level of detail about the hockey, including terms I have never heard and callbacks to obscure yet ongoing debates I wot not of, or it takes the “and then a hockey happened” route. There’s very little Check Please fanfic with only a moderate amount of hockey. It’s all or nothing.Â
