can you rate SCP-3166?
0/10. This is not a Garfield, or even a pseudo-Garfield. It is a predator that uses aggressive mimicry.
This Pseudo-Garfield, as you can see, is a very fascinating attempt to replicate the C-Garfield line. This line of Pseudo-Garfields was actually found in the wild, trying to blend in with a C-Garfield hive! Note its unusual fur color and ear shape. A C-Garfield’s fur will lighten in this way when it is sick with hiverot-- so this Pseudo-Garfield line is trying to replicate an ill Garfield. Prominent Garfologists have theorized they do this in order to receive (and feed off of) Transmissions from the Amalgamate Garfield contained within the Hive.
okay okay, i KNOW this is a bit of a controversial take in the amateur garfology circles, but i have got to say it. i just saw a very long post on this topic by some ‘aspiring Garfologist’ that was COMPLETELY wrong. as an actual Garfologist, let me weigh in.
just because Garfields Classic and Garfields Pretty need a larger space to occupy, like an entire house, does NOT mean that Garfields Melded do! M-Garfs prefer smaller spaces! and sure, we’ve all seen that video of that Timekeeper M-Garf sitting in the center of a field and communicating with a C-Garf... but that video is honestly really inaccurate and damaging to those who are just taking in a M-Garf. in fact, BECAUSE of that video, you’ll hear inexperienced Garf owners say that you should give your M-Garf at LEAST 70 feet of space proportionally for each size of M-Garf, but they need approximately half of that!
the reason why M-Garfs need smaller spaces is because their telepathy range is MUCH smaller than C-Garfs or P-Garfs! any wider, and their mental voice just gets lost in the empty space.
please take care of your Garfields, okay? do your research.
