🌳🎅🌳 Did you take a break from IG and social media over the long holiday weekend? Or did you power post...and enjoy capturing and sharing...the pies and place settings, puttering and promos of the weekend? The kickoff of the Christmas season as it were. I took an intentional break from my phone and IG and the web and in the process discovered: 1️⃣ I felt less harried, more present (duh), and more reflective on the history, meaning, and relationships of 🦃. 2️⃣ I was far more productive. Not digitally of course, but I did get a lot more done and checked off my LIFE to do list. 3️⃣ I was more organized, less distracted, and more appreciative of CREATING for the intrinsic joy of creativity itself, without documenting and recording each step. That said, I also discovered how much I missed the interaction, the warmth, and the communal aspect of sharing ideas, and beauty and inspiration. Stepping back, reassessing, rethinking process, and rekindling enthusiasm for something is always a good thing I think, even in the frenzied holiday season.
