I just saw a post about gaming headsets and as a guy who used to work at GameStop and saw headsets come in literally every single day because they were busted, and got to test TONS of headsets that were sent to us for free:
Straight up: just don't buy Turtle Beach. They break if you sneeze on them. Razer isn't much better.
In fact; the ONLY headset I have ever tried and had zero problems with (and have been using consistently for over 8 years) is the HyperX Cloud.
I have the wired version of this headset and it's so old the company no longer offers it on their website. There are Clouds available starting as low as $49 but averaging around $79 on their website for the older models-- and TRUST ME: old doesn't mean jack for this company.
The sound quality is great, it's comfortable enough to wear for hours (I wear mine for up to 12 hours some days), and the recording quality and sound suppression are excellent right out of the package without you having to know anything about how headsets work.
I am so serious: don't waste your money on anything else. If you need to replace your headset and want something actually worth your money that will last? Get this. It's the ONLY brand I trust after YEARS in the Gaming sales industry and seeing THOUSANDS of headsets trashed for being broken.
