Worcester Gift Pile Gamedev Holiday Party!
Worcester Gift Pile is a collaboration between Petricore, Inc. and the Woo! Game Pile. It's a Yankee Gift swap for game developers and other techy people and entrepreneurs. It's currently Invite-Only, so if you would like to officially participate, send us an email at [email protected]. If you'd like to bring someone with you, please also let us know so we can keep everything under control. No harm-no foul if you just show up though, crashers welcome. This event is being held at the Worcester Innovation Center located at 20 Franklin Street, next to City Hall! Time: 7-10 PM How's it work? Great question! You go somewhere and buy a $15-20 gift(s), wrap it up, and bring it here on the 22nd. Then add it to the great Worcester Gift Pile, later (8pm) we each will pick a number depending on the number of gifts brought by people. Number 1 goes first, picks a gift and unwraps it in front of everyone, next number two goes and does the same except at the end of their turn they can choose to steal/swap a gift of their choosing that's already been opened, same for 3, 4, etc... Until the end. Once the final person goes #1 gets to steal/swap from anyone they want. Other misc questions: What if I don't want to bring a gift, can I still come? Well, we guess so... What if I don't want to swap gifts? Too bad. What kinds of gifts can I bring? We're all adults and can handle something crude. Just don't be a jerk and bring something offensive/discriminatory. Can I bring food/drinks/snacks? Yes, you can actually! Please do! :D What about alcohol? Yes to this as well! The building has a liquor license, as long as you're 21+ you can drink. Of course don't get carried away and please have a ride home if you do. Thanks it, look forward to seeing you all very soon! :)
