Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero (Steam)
running on a Retroid Pocket G2 through GameNative.
I’m kind of blown away by how well this runs on this chip. I’ve spent the past couple days testing this game on both GameHub and GameNative. I ended up settling on GameNative so I can have the game installed externally. It was mostly the same process to get this set up on both apps.
The game is running at 480p, lowest settings, medium anti aliasing, and a frame cap of 30fps with an engine.ini tweak to fix the slowdown. It looks pretty rough, but my weird workaround has been to turn on the CRT filter on GameNative to blend it together a bit. And it actually looks rlly rlly good this way.
I’m gonna make a full video breakdown on this setup and my settings soon, as well as an Emuready report. I’m currently waiting for a new microSD to come in tomorrow and that’ll hopefully make it load faster than it is now.
Android gaming is getting pretty damn serious. I used to play this game pretty regularly on my Steam Deck with a frame rate cap of 45. Playing it on this is definitely a bit choppier, but it’s more than playable. And it honestly doesn’t even look too bad.
