Hi, i'm Engel (not my real name, it's my internet alias), also known as Driftogen.

I'm a 16 year old artist and writer who's new to this platform, so i hope i can do good impressions and answer questions!

I come from Game Jolt, and my plan is to expand into other platforms such as Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok, etc etc.

As i'm a writer, you may be expecting something from me, right?

Welp, i'm currently working on a novel called "Sparkwright", which is still a work in progress, as i began writing right around thursday after i finished part of the cast that i have in plans for now.

This is the current logo, it might suffer big changes overtime due to me not being satisfied with how it looks right now, but i promise that this will probably work as a placeholder.

Now, the big question:

What is Sparkwright?

Sparkwright is a Sci-Fi novel inspired and based on The Amazing Digital Circus, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, Fortnite, Hilda, Retrospecter and uhh, Zelda TOTK.

It has a bit of horror with TADC and IHNMAIMS,  FN's involvement comes from the looming existential threat attacking the main protagonists, Hilda's involvement comes from my plans of having 9 entries to the saga, and uhh, Zelda's involvement is for seeing how can i do storytelling in a way i can attract readers.

Sparkwright is full of quirky characters, that come in different shapes, colors, patterns and sizes, and while the image below may look completely ass, that's because i fucking hate using Canva, and i couldn't draw everyone, so i had to be a bit lazy.

But, you can tell there was a lot of effort with planning the characters.

The main characters are if not,the most quirky ones i've planned out.

Quinn (the orange guy), Itchimani (the purple one), Mercury (the blue and green one), Levi (the one with the prosthetic) and Haley (the one with the hat) are all the main protagonists of the novel.

Due to the plot of the first book being their species (known as Tynkerers) being brought to extinction by the Hunters (i had 2 names i gave them, Catastrorers and Nymphs, i think Hunters just feels better and not so corny.), and part of the original idea was quote unquote, breeding themselves out of extinction, you could see why i hated the idea.

So the current idea is as follows: Planet destroyed, they're sent to earth when they were babies/cubs, but oh lord, they were separated into different countries, they're adopted by humans, Quinn finds his brother when he's 23 years old in human, they find Itchi, then Levi and lastly, Haley, they don't know where they came from, they see that the ship they landed on has a message for them, the planet was brought to destruction, the Hunters find their location, etc etc etc.

It's not exactly the final idea, but it's not too far fetched either.

If you could tell, 3 of these guys are based on characters, Haley is based on Hilda, Levi is based on Link, and Itchimani is based on Imani (if you know what fortnite is.)

I hope to share more in the future once the idea has been thought through and through.
