#233: Go Horseback Riding

Horseback riding is a fun activity in the summer and fall, and it can be a great surprise romantic adventure, too! There are a lot of horseback riding places in the Capital District area...I don't know all of them, but here are a few:

Bennett's Riding Stable 1410 Lake Avenue, Lake Luzerne http://www.lakegeorgenewyork.com/horses/ They offer trail rides as well as a dinner ride package (2 hour rid,e, dinner, great views)

Muddy Acres Farm 95 Middle Grove Road, Greenfield http://muddyacresfarm.com/ $25 for trail rides.

Ridin' Hy Rach and Resort Lake George/Bolton Landing, NY (See website for directions) http://www.ridinhy.com This place is more of a camping/accommodations, family-fun resort. They offer pony rides for kiddos...might not be the best place if you're an adult (like me) looking for a grownup trail ride, but might be ideal if you have small kiddos.

Schauber Stables 428 Schauber Road, Ballston Lake http://www.schauberstables.com/lesson-rates.html $30 for a private 1/2 hour lesson, $60 for an hour lesson. They also host birthday parties.
