it’s become a habit of hers, getting lost.

not like she means to, really – but kitty chaiket’s never really been the assertive type, more than content to dance with the wind ( and all its colors, too ! ). it’s a more unpredictable, uncertain way of living –– but she’d never been the type to indulge in anything too sure, anyway. such swaying along with the tide is, after all, what led her to korea, to d.c., to the b side ... and, currently, the shotgun seat of kenan ozdemir’s car, en route to virginia.

so. really, it’s not too bad a way to live.

the music resonating from the car’s speakers, folksy and light and reminiscent of her own band’s sound, pairs warmly with the nice, earthy tones that sprawl out from outside her window; kitty can almost picture how nice it would be to hold a little concert out in a grassy field, the b side’s music complemented by natural ambience. she makes a mental note to express her idea to the boy beside her later ( though knowing her, it’ll take a while for her to recall it; she’s a tad forgetful that way ).

a new song begins, a feminine voice crooning about space; wide, dreamy smile adorning her features, kitty turns to the car’s driver, beaming at him all the while. “do you ever think of life beyond our earth as we know it ?” she prompts, tilting her head sideways. “i mean ... it just seems impossible for us to be alone, amidst all the dust and the ice and the planets and the stars, you know ? –– it’s all really exciting !” she sighs, a little wistfully. “i want to be able to go to space one day.”
