Adding a little drama to our #galleries811 project in #myerspark This space received two coats of @sherwinwilliams in Peppercorn SW 7674 #swdesignpros #sherwinwilliams #swcolorlove I had the painters do the walls in semi gloss to capture some of the light from the windows and have them use a satin finish in the same color, for the ceiling. When the contractor adds the crown molding and baseboards in this space, I am painting them in the same color. This client wanted floating shelving and a desk area, in this 67" x 54" storeroom. We made it happen! The shelving will probably be faced and covered in birchwood with grey #grasscloth wall treatment. The stain for the shelving is TBD. Crown molding and baseboards will also be added, to complete the look. Great #diy tip! If you have something you need to anchor to a wall in multiple spots, add some plywood and then fresh drywall over that. The existing wall is heavily textured and we needed a smooth surface to hang the #dreamcatcher #mural by @avivastanoffdesign (See third picture) There is also going to be something special added to that, which is Japanese inspired. We have quite a few old display walls that we are reusing. Many had several layers of wallpaper over old and very thin plywood. A good way to refresh that is simply lay fresh drywall right over the top! Almost ready for crown moulding and baseboards. Also, instead of spending the extra time on finished off the corners, we are adding a a simple wood corner piece to finish it off.
