If anyone had seen Apollo walking that day, they would probably have compared him with a windup toy. And honestly, he had all the reasons. After going through all the troubles and jobs he had taken while studying in college, he had finally gotten enough money. He was ecstatic and the only thing he wanted to do was to show his lover and tell him the good news. So as the time passed and the hour for them to chat to each other for a while got closer, he felt like he was going to have a seizure. Why did time insist in passing so quickly while he talked to Clay but instead went so slowly now? 

As he turned his laptop on, he thought on how to give the blackhaired boy the surprise. As he decided on it, he opened the application and waited for the other to get on.

Solomon had deemed it enough. He had had enough of everything and he wouldn’t allow the stress building up on his work, the numerous critics that he received on his job, and also the bad way in which people had received the fact that Clay and him were already dating. He was so done with everything, that, for the first time throughout his whole career as an astronaut, he would take some vacations on his own volition. Obviously so, he wasn’t about going anywhere without his partner, and so, it was time for him to try and convince the younger male to come along. In fact, they had both some free days they should be able to use for a well-deserved trip somewhere, they were just too hardworking to miss even a day.

- Clay, I have a kind of important question for you, would you hear me out? - He blurted out as soon as he got to his desk, though he didn’t want to discuss it at work, he definitely had to suggest that it was important that they meet after their shift to discuss it. - If you want, we can go eat out tonight? I promise is nothing bad, you have nothing to worry about. - He added, worried that maybe Clay’s mind would wander to dangerous zones in his brain. When he was sure no one was watching, he pecked the other on the lips and smiled at him.

Fuck, fuck, fuck! Not right now! Why couldn’t rain wait just for a little while more? He just wanted to have a decent jogging session, and just on the day he had finally gathered the energy and the courage to face the world trying to not be filled with anxiety as he got curious eyes on him. The weather had been fine just a while ago, so why did the universe keep wanting to shit on his parade? 

As he ran to hide from the rain, he noticed a familiar neighbourhood, it wasn’t too fancy, but it seemed rather neat. Suddenly, it came to him, Clay’s apartment was really close by, and though he didn’t quite know what its number was, he still had his phone with him, so with a short text he could probably ask the younger astronaut to pick him up. The older male just needed a bit of drying out, and maybe an understanding ear to vent about the weather ruining his plans. 

Yeah. That would be good.
