Flag Ceremony is back but we had to go up to the 4th floor because it was starting to be scorching hot. I was then instructed by the Superintendent to talk about GAD, impromptu. I thank the heavens for giving me wisdom that day. Many can speak but only a few have substance. So i really hope i was able to deliver. In the rea of public speaking, i admit that i still have a lot of stuff to learn. I’m willing and, surprisingly, excited of how far i can go with this one. There are people who do not want to hear about GAD either because they can’t relate cause they haven’t been victim of violence or they think gender-based issues are not and should not be a public issue. But will you wait until you or your loved ones become victims? Are you the kind of person who waits for a problem to become big just for you to consider it as a public issue? Each day there becomes a victim. Each day there becomes an issue. Just because the numbers do not look alarming to some does not mean that we all need to do something about these things. Otherwise, it won’t be far when you will just wake in the morning seeing these kinds of issues showing and growing exponentially. So do something now before it takes a toll on you. There are many ways how. This one is your cue. Be 1 of the #alaGADngSurSur #GenderandDevelopment #GADvocate https://www.instagram.com/p/CKlmW6MHYJX/?igshid=kxlm1pdcf7um
