You donât realize how quiet youâve gone until the silence starts pressing back.
Itâs the kind that isnât peaceful, isnât restfulâjust heavy. Everything in you feels off, mismatched, like something got shaken loose and never settled back into place.
Youâre sitting on the edge of the bed, elbows on your knees, staring at nothing in particular, trying to piece together a feeling that doesnât want to be named.
âWow,â a voice cuts in, bright and completely uninvited. âThis is bleak. Like, aggressively bleak.â
You donât look up. âGo away, Gabriel.â
âCanât. Contractually obligated to annoy you.â
A pause. Then, a soft pop.
You glance up despite yourself. Gabriel stands in the middle of the room wearing⊠a clown nose. You blink. ââŠno.â
âYes.â
âNo.â
He crosses his eyes, honks the nose once for emphasis, then spreads his arms like heâs unveiling something spectacular. âComedy.â
You stare at him, unimpressed. âIâm going to make that disappear.â
âRude. This is vintage.â
âYou summoned it.â
âDetails.â
You huff softly, the sound weak but there, and drop your gaze again. The weight doesnât lift. Not really. It just shifts, making room for him in the edges of it.
Gabriel watches you for a second, quieter now, something more careful slipping into the space between his usual chaos. Thenâanother snap.
The room fills with balloons.
Not normal ones. These have little drawn-on faces, some smiling, some frowning, one that looks suspiciously judgmental. They drift lazily around you, bumping gently into your shoulders, your arms, your head.
You try to ignore them.
One taps your cheek.
You swat it away.
It floats right back.
ââŠseriously?â you mutter.
âIt likes you,â Gabriel says helpfully, crouching in front of you now, elbows on his knees, matching your position. âYouâve been chosen.â
You drag a hand down your face. âI hate it here.â
âLies. You love it here.â He tilts his head, studying you, the humor still there but softer now, less loud. âCâmon. Give me something. A smirk? Mild amusement? Iâll take a nose exhale at this point.â
You press your lips together, fighting it.
A balloon bumps your forehead.
You lose.
Itâs not a full laugh. Not even close. Just a small, unwilling breath that escapes you, a crack in the weight youâve been carrying.
Gabriel lights up like itâs the funniest thing heâs ever seen. âThere it is. Knew you had it in you.â
âDonât get used to it,â you mumble, but thereâs no real bite behind it.
âToo late.â He shifts closer, nudging your knee lightly with his. âIâm building a whole routine around that reaction. Gonna take this show on the road.â
You shake your head, but your shoulders have loosened, just a little.
The silence isnât gone. But itâs not as sharp anymore.
Gabriel leans in slightly, voice dropping, softer than you expect. âHey.â
You glance at him.
He doesnât make a joke this time. âWhateverâs got you feeling like this,â he says, quieter, more real, âyou donât have to sit in it alone.â
Something in your chest tightens, then eases, just enough to breathe again.
You nod once.
A balloon bumps into Gabrielâs face.
He glares at it. âIâm having a moment.â
You snort. And this time, it comes a little easier.

speaking of wings, would you maybe be down with a gabriel wing smut? i feel like he would be so vocal about his wings being touched, especially during sex like low deep groans when you massage the spot they meet his back, or full body shivers when you run your fingers through them. i wish we got to see his wings more than just once
A/N: this has sub gabriel written all over it
Gabriel always craved the physical closeness with you, never not leaning into the way youâd touch him. No matter how innocent or intimate your touch is, to him itâs every bit blissful.
He craved it all, but one spot in particular that had him absolute putty between your fingers was along his back- right around where his wings sprouted in his shoulders.
You had noticed the way heâd react when your fingers would gently trace the bases of his wings as you lay beside him- gentle hitches in his throat, shivers flowing down his spine⊠and when your fingers ran through the feathers he was done for.
âSweets⊠youâre killing me here.â Heâd mutter into your neck, pecking kisses along your skin. âFeels so goodâŠâ
You smirked a little, starting to massage his skin a little more firmly. Gabriel gasped, hot breath hitting you.
âThat feel good, Gabe?â You whispered, fingers tracing along the coverts of his wings now⊠the shuddering of his body speaking louder than words. âIâll take that as a yes.â
âDamn itâŠâ he whispered, the press of his erection now against your thigh. You giggled, tilting his chin up to meet your face.
âYou need me to help you a little with that?â Pecking the tip of his nose, thumb stroking his chin as he stared up with a puppy dog look, his golden eyes sparkling with desire.
âYes, please-â Gabriel almost pleaded, leaning forward to kiss you- but you stopped him before he could.
âSit up for me thenâŠâ you whispered, shuffling to move away as he immediately obeyed- sitting up on the bed.
You moved to straddle him, seeing his needy expression as you settled into his lap. You pushed some of his hair from his face, giggling from how heâd grab at your hips to your ass, squeezing you tightly.
âYouâre so pretty when youâre needy for me, GabeâŠâ you breathed, kissing his lips once before moving down to his neck- littering his skin with love bites. âTell me what you wantâŠâ
He sighed, leaning his head away as he swallowed hard. âWant⊠want you to fuck me, but- donât stop- touching my wings⊠please.â
You hummed at his desperate plea, breathing on his skin before you nipped the space in between his neck and shoulder which made him whine.
âYeah? Youâd like that honey?â You teased, rolling your hips along him, his clothed erection grazing the dampened fabric of your panties as you gasped slightly.
âOh- mmh- damn it please, I need youâŠâ he whispered, fingers dipping beneath your underwear- pushing it to the side. âCanât wait.â
âCan let you go without what you need can I?â You breathed out as you reached down to his briefs, pulling them down enough to free his hardened cock from beneath.
You bit your lip, precum beading at his tip as you reached for him again- thumb circling the wet spot on his reddened tip, stroking him slowly. âAll this⊠over a little bit of attention to your wings?â Your other hand stroked along his feathers, playing them like they were a harp.
Gabriel gasped at your actions, a low whimper leaving him as he started to buck his hips into your hand. âDonât tease me- just f-fuck meâŠâ he muttered. âPlease- please babyâŠâ
You smirked, seeing how his desperate, almost feral need for you consumed him- and who were you to keep him waiting?
Your hips teased him now, your hand still taking hold of his length, running the tip along your slick cunt, pressing yourself just shy of his tip slipping between your lips⊠before completely sheathing him within you, a broken moan shared between the two of you.
You rocked against him, the throb of your connected bodies never not pulling you both into euphoria.
âYou feel so good, so good fâ meâŠâ you praised, fingers resuming their massage to his back, Gabrielâs noises growing louder by the minute.
He looked deep into your eyes, drinking in as you took what you wanted, and gave him everything that he needed.
âPlease fuck-â he whined, biting down and sucking on your collar as he felt the heat build in his pelvis. âIâm so close- y/n pleaseâŠâ
He was whiney, pliant like putty- all he wanted was for you to not stop fucking him.
âGonna come for me? Huh?â You purred, hips rolling on his even deeper as your fingers pressed into the bases again, and what came next - a myriad of broken moans and calls of your name when Gabriel fell over the edge, cumming hard inside of you with his lips still attached to your collar.
His body jolted, wings fluttering outwards - he seemed to glow in his post orgasm state, both literally and figuratively as his eyes shon blue. It was a rare, but awe worthy sight as you fell over the edge shortly after him.
You peppered his face in kisses, whispering how good he felt, sweet nothings that made his brain turn to mush.
âYou okay?â You whispered, slowly removing yourself from him, lying down on your back- watching him as he began to curl at your side, seeking your touch as he evened out his breathing.
He nodded, humming as you ran your fingers through his golden hair. âFuck yeah I am.â He murmured, smiling against your skin as you chuckled.
âGood to know about your wingsâŠâ you whispered. âWill be doing it again if it means I get to see you like that.â
âYou better, sugar bear⊠you know how to bring an archangel to his damn knees with those fingers.â
Gabriel walked into the living room, stood behind the couch you were sitting on and leaned down, wrapping his arms around your shoulders and kissing you on the cheek.
"Hiya Sugarplum, whatcha up to?"
"Just scrolling through my photos"
"Get any good ones of me?"
"Lots. I can't pick my favourite though"
"Yeah? Which ones do you like the most?"
"Pink cowboy hat Gabe, Casa Erotica Gabe and what the fuck Lucifer just threw you into the pool Gabe"
"I'm not a fan of the last one"
"But you look so cute!" You half whined.
"But he threw me in the fucking pool!" Gabriel replied, mimicking your tone.
"Fine. Pink cowboy hat it is"
"Not Casa Erotica?"
"No- Ooh! I found my new favourite!" You held your phone up to him and he laughed lightly "Burrito Gabe is the best Gabe for sure"
"Well, as long as you'll have me, I'll always be the beef to your beans"
"Gabe"
"That sounded dirtier than I meant but I'm not upset about it"
You giggled and pulled him around the side of the couch and into the seat next to you. He held his arm up and you snuggled into his side before showing him your phone once more.
"Burrito Gabe may be my favourite, but Saturday Night Fever Gabe holds a special place in my heart"
"Aww, Gumdrop, you hold my entire heart"
"That was incredibly sweet, even for you"
You leaned up and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips, tasting a familiar sweetness.
"Caramel?"
"Mhm"
"Gabriel! You had caramels without me, what has this relationship become?"
"My little drama queen, I am an angel you know, I can magic some up for us"
"I love your angel mojo sometimes"
"Angel mojo? You need to spend less time with Dean, love bug"
"You know you've called me four different nicknames in the past five minutes?"
"Oh no, I'm one short, my..... butterscotch baby?"
"Hmm, that one's new, I like it"
"So do I, I think that's gonna be a new regular"
"Perfect"
You smiled blissfully before resting your head against his shoulder again. He pressed a light kiss to your hair and squeezed you just a little bit tighter, fully content with his butterscotch baby.
warnings: slightly sub!gabriel (but mostly a switch) teasing, wing kink, smut, language, maybe overstim if you look hard enough?
Gabriel had been around since creation. Hell, even before that. During early stages of his life, he had been too busy to think about pursuing any sort of romantic interests; doing his fatherâs dirty work, delivering messages, avoiding fights between his siblings, whatever kept him busy.
In recent years, the occasional hooker or porn star was enough to suffice. Heâd messed around with Kali, but there wasnât any emotional attachment there. He preferred to be constantly on the go. That was until he met you.
Gabriel was instantly drawn to you. He tried, tried so hard to avoid it, for your own safety. If the wrong people found out he had a soft spot for you, thatâd make you a target. But youâd stuck to him like glue. Neither of you could deny it. It didnât matter what the Winchesters or anybody thought; he was your archangel. You were his person.
Now here you were, on top of him, peppering kisses along his jawline, fingers weaving their way through his soft, golden feathers. His hands gripped the bedsheets, and he let out a long, husky sigh. You circled your hips against his, grinding against him, earning a low groan.
âSugar, please.â Gabriel whined, pushing his hips up at yours, desperate for any friction.
You werenât about to give in yet, wanting to see how far heâd unravel. Sitting up, you looked over him, your eyes meeting his. His eyes were dark and wild with lust, staring into yours with need. The messy sight of him beneath you was almost enough to send you over the edge; almost. His hair was disheveled, breathing uneven.
He had no idea he was capable of wanting something so badly. You leaned back down over him, kissing below his ear, gently sucking the skin before moving to his mouth. He leaned up, meeting your lips with his own. You could almost taste the desire on him. His tongue made its way into your mouth, clashing with yours. When you came up for breath, you moved back down to his collarbone, kissing and leaving a line across him.
You moved your fingers further up toward the base of his wings, weaving through feathers and massaging deep into the muscle, earning a whimper from him. Now that was driving him crazy. Gabriel didnât show his wings to anyone, apart from casting shadows, which was more a display of power. You were the first person to see them in all of their glory, which was probably the deepest form of trust he could ever give.
And here you were, using them to your advantage. Each movement across his feathers sent pleasure coursing through his very essence. He groaned as you hit a particularly sensitive spot, his grace stirring within him. Your name rolled from his tongue as if it were something from the gospel. It was almost too much. The room felt too hot, despite the fact that he was supposed to be unbothered by temperature. He wanted, no, needed more.
Part of him wanted to flip you over and fuck you right into the mattress until you couldnât even think. On the other hand, he wanted to melt right there. He could die happily right then and there, with you on top of him, giving him your full, undivided attention.
Sex was not something archangels needed. Godâs creatures and lust just didnât mix. Sure, it was a decent outlet to blow off steam, but for the longest time Gabriel never even pursued it. When he did, it was just that; to blow off steam on some pornstar. It was never something he needed.
But at this moment, he couldnât think about anything else. He needed you more than anything, as if it were a basic survival need; and in his state of mind, it might actually be. For the first time in centuries- perhaps ever, his mind was blank with pure, unfiltered lust.
âY/N, I need you. Please.â Gabriel begged.
Nothing else mattered but you in that moment. His hands moved to your hips with a grip that, in any other circumstance, would hurt. You knew youâd be waking up the next morning with fingertip bruises. He had never wanted anything more in his entire life. You sat up, moving your hands down to his pants, finding his hard cock pressed against the fabric.
âIs that all for me, Gabe?â There was an edge of humor in your tone. It wasnât very often you found yourself in this position. It was almost a humbling thought, that one of the worldâs most powerful forces was a whimpering mess beneath you.
He pulled you back down on top of him. âSugar, all of me is for you,â And there was not a single doubt about that.
Gabriel sat up, keeping you in his lap. His patience was gone, and he could barely even think straight. He didnât have to put any thought into it, and just like that, and his pants, along with your own clothes were gone, leaving nothing to separate the two of you. He was quick to work, lifting his hand up to grab your breasts, massaging and thumbing over your sensitive nipples. He placed deep kisses at your neck, his molten hot cock between your thighs begging for friction.
He flipped you over, so that he towered over you. He spent the next few moments with his full attention on you, kissing every sensitive spot on your neck. Each little sound you made fueled him on.
âGabriel..â You whined. Every ounce of you wanted him, more than anything.
âOh, now you want more? Hm?â He replied, bringing two fingers down your your folds, rubbing back and forth. You were soaked. It was his turn to tease you now, and he wasnât planning on giving in easily. He returned to your breasts, leaving soft kisses all over.
His fingers circled your clit, his touch light as a feather. You bucked your hips towards him, desperate for more. He groaned at your need, kissing and sucking at your neck, and at the same time, slipped two fingers into you. You tossed your head back, an embarrassingly loud moan filling the air. If this was the reaction two fingers got, you were in for a long night.
âYouâre so good for me, sugar.â He smirked, curling his fingers to hit just the right spot. You cried out, the pleasure coursed through your body. He repeated the motion, slipping in and out of you, his thumb occasionally rubbing at your clit.
You reached up to grab something- anything, and your fingers met with his wings again. You gripped the feathers, pulling softly and he emitted a nearly inhuman sound. Heâs starting to feel possessive, and itâs both scary and invigorating. His grace stirs deep within him, more than it has in a very long time.
Gabrielâs breath is shaky, and you arenât sure youâve ever heard him like this. When it comes to his wings, this is intimacy beyond the regular sex you have. In this moment, youâre touching him; his actual self, not just his vessel. Thatâs a rather profound realization. His fingers pushed deeper into her, curling again at just the right spot.
âOh- Fuck, Gabriel..â You murmur, and he cups your jaw with his other hand, his mouth covering yours as he takes his fingers out of you. He stroked his cock, coating it with your juices. He guided himself to just the right place, leaving it right at your entrance. Your fingertips dug into the muscle of his wings, and electricity crackled through the air as he moaned your name. He rubbed his cock against your clit.
Gabriel bucked his hips forward with one swift motion, his hot cock filling you completely. You gasped at the intrusion, and his breathing hitched. For a moment there was silence between the two of you. You wiggled your hips, adjusting to him.
âYou okay, sugar?â He murmured, beginning at a slow pace. There were no words, your mind blank with pleasure. You could only moan his name, bucking your hips up to push him in deeper. You could only hope he got the point.
And that he did, he planted his mouth onto yours, withdrawing his cock completely. His tongue danced with yours, and he thrust back into you, filling you to the brim once more. This time, he wasted no time. He set a hard, fast pace, fucking you damn near senseless. The room filled with the sounds of his groans, your moans, and skin on skin.
You moved your hands further up the base of his wings, massaging between the feathers, earning a whine at your touch. Gabriel couldnât stand it. His grace whorled deep inside of him, and for once, he knew he wouldnât last long. He reached down between the two of you, thumbing at your clit. You practically melted at the extra touch, pleasure coursing through your body in waves.
You recognized a familiar buildup deep within your core; you were close, and Gabriel knew it as well. He knew by the way you gripped his feathers, by the way your moans grew breathy, the way your hips bucked up at him.
âIâve got you, sugar,â He coaxed. He was almost there too. The pressure built up, more and more, until you couldnât bear it anymore. You cried out, clinging to him as your orgasm rocked your body, bucking your hips up at him. He following you quickly, his cock twitched, and he gave a couple more hard thrusts.
Gabriel cried out your name, followed by words in a language youâd never heard. Hot spurts of cum coated your insides, and he groaned, pressing his forehead against your chest.
The two of you lay there panting, and you relaxed into the bed, letting out a deep sigh. Gabriel rolled over to the side, pulling you into his arms. He stared down at you with dark, honey gold eyes, analyzing your movements.
âYou okay, Y/N?â He murmured, pressing soft kisses to your forehead. You looked up to him, nothing but love in your expression, and nodded. You met his lips with your own, kissing him slowly.
âI love you, Gabe.â You whispered back at him. He didnât respond, but he didnât have to. There was no question to how he felt about you, and he had just cemented that fact. You could die happy in that moment, and he was in the same boat.
Description: When Y/N goes off on her own and endangers herself, Gabriel makes sure she knows never to do that again.
The bunker was too quiet when you slipped back in. That should have been your first warning. You eased the door shut behind you, boots quiet on the concrete floor, hopingâmaybe foolishlyâthat you could reach your room before anyone noticed. Your heart still pounded from the hunt, the close call, and the reckless choice youâd made. The skinwalkerâs tracks had led you too close to the river, and doubling back over broken ground with its shriek in your ears was nothing you wanted to relive.
âWow,â a familiar voice drawled from somewhere behind you, âyouâd think after all this time, youâd at least try to be subtle.â You froze. Slowly, you turned and saw Gabriel leaning against the wall, arms crossed, eyes sharp enough to make your stomach drop. There was a brief, silent flash of memoryâthe time youâd knocked over the entire shelf of gear, right under his nose, three years ago. Back then, heâd just laughed and tossed you a broom. He wasnât holding candy now, and there was no smirk on his lips. Instead, his face was tight and controlled, making it clear how much trouble you were in. âGabriel, I-â âDonât.â His voice cut through yours, firm but not loud. Somehow, that made it worse. âDonât start with excuses. I already know what you did.â You swallowed. âIt worked, didnât it?â He pushed himself off the wall in one smooth motion, stepping closer. âThatâs not the point.â âIt saved people-â âIt nearly got you killed.â The words snapped through the air, and you flinched despite yourself.
Gabriel stopped right in front of you, close enough that you could see the worry behind the frustration in his eyes. That was what twisted something in your chest. This wasnât just anger. It was fear, hidden under irritation and sarcasm. For the first time since you came back into the bunker, your confidence wavered. You felt exposedâsuddenly aware of how your recklessness put more than just yourself at risk, of how deeply Gabriel cared whether you walked through that door again.
A memory flickered through your mind, sharp and unwelcome. The echo of cold wind against your skin as you waited, years ago, flashlight flickering low and rescue that never came. The hollow crackle of static where there should have been a voice. There had only ever been you, doing what needed to be done, teeth chattering, counting the seconds until morning. Somewhere deep inside, you still carried the shape of that night: the lesson carved in silence that no one was coming unless you were the one to make it out. It was easier to act than to ask, safer to rely on instinct and grit rather than hope for backup that might not arrive at all. Forcing yourself back to the present, your bravado melted away as guilt crept in, mingling with a sharp uncertainty you tried not to show. The realisation stung: your actions didnât only endanger you, but left someone else behind, worrying until you returned.
âYou went in alone,â he continued, voice lower now but no less intense. âNo backup. No plan beyond âhope for the best.â What exactly were you thinking?â âI didnât have time to call anyone,â you muttered, crossing your arms defensively. âIf Iâd waited, it wouldâve been too late.â âAnd if youâd been wrong?â he shot back. âIf you hadnât made it out?â You didnât answer. Because you didnât have one. Gabriel let out a sharp breath and dragged a hand down his face. For a moment, he looked older, tired not from age but from caring too much. âYou scare me when you do that,â he said quietly. That hit harder than the anger. âI can take care of myself,â you insisted, though your voice lacked its earlier conviction. âI know you can,â he replied immediately. âThatâs not the issue. The issue is that you think you have to do everything alone.â
There was a beat of silence, and something flickered in Gabrielâs eyes, as if he wanted to say more. You knew what he was thinking. No one had ever come when you called before, not when it really mattered. Old habits, hard to unlearn. The air between you held a raw vulnerability; this moment was as much about trust as it was about reprimand. Agreeing to his terms felt exposing, but it also meant letting someone in, even just a little. Silence stretched between you. Then his expression changed again. It was less sharp now, but just as serious. âAnd since talking doesnât seem to get through to youâŠâ Your eyes widened slightly. âGabriel-â âOver my knee. Now.â You blinked. âYouâre kidding.â âDo I look like Iâm kidding?â No. He really didnât. Heat rushed to your face. âI am not a child!â âThen stop acting like one when it comes to your safety,â he said evenly. âNow. Or I can make this more embarrassing.â You hesitated, weighing your options, but one look at him told you he wasnât bluffing. With a frustrated huff, you stepped closer. âThis is ridiculous,â you muttered. âYeah, yeah, Iâve heard it all before.â
Before you could argue more, he guided you firmly and settled you across his lap. Heat rushed up your neck at the humiliation, and you hid your face in your arms, groaning as a fierce blend of shame and resentment welled up in your chest. You wanted to protest, to push him away, but the truth was your body had gone rigid, flooded instead by a flicker of relief that someone was finally insisting you stop running headlong into danger. Â "Gabriel..." "This is for scaring me half to death," he said, his tone still controlled but carrying that unmistakable edge of emotion. The first smack landed. It was firm, not playful, but not cruel either. It startled you more than anything, prickling embarrassment mingling with a stronger, sharper pang beneath your skin. You jerked slightly. "Ow-!" "And this," smack, "is for going off alone." "Okay, okay-!" "And this," smack, "is for thinking you donât matter enough to come back in one piece."
That one made you go still. The sting faded quickly, replaced by something heavier. It settled in your chest and made it hard to breathe past the sudden tightness in your throat. For a strange second, you felt exposed, raw with something like guilt and the bitter comfort of being cared about too much. For a moment, neither of you moved.
Then, more gently, he helped you sit up. You avoided his gaze at first, rubbing your arm awkwardly, but he didnât let you hide for long. âHey.â His voice was softer now. âLook at me.â Reluctantly, you did. The anger was gone. What was left was concern, steady and painfully sincere. âYou donât get to throw yourself into danger like youâre disposable,â he said quietly. âYou hear me?â You swallowed, nodding. âSay it.â âI hear you,â you murmured. He studied you for a second longer, as if making sure the message had actually landed. Then, finally, his expression eased, and he pulled you into a quick, tight hug. âYou drive me insane, you know that?â he muttered. Despite everything, a small smile tugged at your lips. âYou love me anyway.â âYeah,â he sighed, ruffling your hair. âUnfortunately for me.â
You leaned into him for a moment, feeling the tension from earlier slowly fade. Next time, you thought, youâd call for backup. Not just because of the lecture or even the punishment. But because, for better or worse, you werenât alone. And Gabriel was going to make sure you never forgot it.

Summary: Gabriel sees that youâre feeling down when he stops by for his weekly visit. So he takes it into his own hands to cheer you up.
This is a little gift for @reginaphalangelobster
Back when Castiel had first introduced you to Gabriel you had never expected him to be so comforting. You had good and bad days which Gabriel understood thoroughly. After all he had the same problems, so when the unexpected relationship blossomed it was beautiful. He was always there, good, bad, and ugly. Gabriel was always there to take you through it.
Unlike today.
Today was one of the ugly days. Despite very clearly having someone to curl up into, there were times where it was really mind over matter.
There wasnât a direct reason as to why you had been spiraling into the pit of loneliness at the moment. Perhaps it was the way that one lady looked at you when taking out the trash. Or the comment you received at work earlier that day. There were never any clear reasons, but the more you thought about it, the more it hurt.
So there you were curled up on the couch, wool blanket pulled up over your head and knees pressed to your chest. Hopefully the world couldnât hear the awful sobbing youâd been doing for the last hour or so.
Gabriel hadnât really seen the need to use your front door. Feeling he could just pop into the house at random, youâd never complained. However, when he appeared in the bedroom there was no sign of you. âSweetheart?â He called out for you with one of the many affectionate nicknames he had been so kind to give you. Though there was no response. Huh, okay. That was odd. Gabriel sets down the little bag of goodies onto the desk and exits the bedroom.
You had been so focused on crying, that you hadnât heart the soft scuff of boots across the floor. âAngel? Are you here?â You did hear that. There was no mistaking that voice. It was almost instantly recognizable. Oh no. There was no way that you could let Gabriel see you like this. Crushed by the weight of the worldâs opinion and loneliness, despite having someone who loved you dearly.
It was hard.
Although as Gabriel made his way into the living-room a quiet, but obvious sniffle caught his attention. He stills, turning his head in the direction of the sound. His heart broke a little at the sight. You were curled up beneath a blanket and you had been crying, if the little sad sniffle had told him anything. Gabriel slowly walks over, careful to not make to much noise as to frighten you. When he does reach the couch, he crouches down to be level with the cushions. With a careful and steady hand he reaches out for the corner of the blanket before lifting it slightly.
A small bit of light floods in between the space you created with the blanket and your couch cushions. Most of it was blocked by the handsome face of your boyfriend, presenting a warm smile, still maintaining a softness to it all. âHiya, sweetheart.â He gives a slight tilt of his head, âWhatâs wrong?â Gabriel looks over your face, the red cheeks, puffy eyes, and pink nose were all clear signs that youâd be crying. It had hurt him to see you in such a state.
âJust been.. having one of my lonely days. Itâs not you, people have just been saying things, and-and it makes me think that one day you will leave and that-â
âHey. Hey.â His voice is soft, caring and gentle, âThereâs no way I am leaving you, ever. Okay, so letâs get that out there.â He peels back the blanket more, setting the corner just on your shoulder. âNothing could take me away, angel.â
âBut-â
âNothing.â He reassures you. Gabriel helps you sit up, careful to still keep the blanket wrapped around your shoulders. âI stopped and got some of your favorite snacks. I also picked up a movie Castiel recommended. He said it was romantic, but I have never seen it.â Gabriel shrugs.
âWhatâs it called?â You ask, wiping away the rest of the wetness from your cheeks.
âThe Princess Bride.â He answers, giving a twirl of his hand and producing the very movie case before your eyes. You reach out to take it from him and smile, which he takes as a good sign.
âI love this movie.â You tell Gabriel with a slow forming smile.
âWell good. Because, I for one am excited. I mean, bad guys, good guys, and maybe pirates.â He waggles his eyebrows at you and a giggle escapes you. Gabriel was the only thing that made you feel not so lonely. He would always be there with a joke or two to tell. Not to mention a whole entire spread of sweets and comfort.
Gabriel wasnât going to let this world take your light, your happiness. Not while he was around.
So the two of you sat, watching the movie together, giggling when Gabriel got to into certain parts and others when he would repeat the lines to you. It was beautiful. He was amazing.

Summary: Some headcanons for what I think it would be like dating sweet boy Gabe. We'll say that this all takes place after the events of the movie.
The two of you would probably meet at whatever inpatient facility he gets sent to after the incident with Alice. You could be in there for anything, but ideally, youâd be making progress in line with his and your expected discharge dates would be close.Â
Youâd probably bond in the little smoking area in the courtyard at the center of the building, getting to know eachother throughout your time there
Generally, it is pretty frowned upon to be romantically involved in this setting, but I think the two of you would be careful, not wanting to fuck eachother up. You probably wouldnât even touch while youâre in there. Maybe even for months after getting out.Â
Youâd encourage eachother to get better, memorizing the other's treatment and med schedules, noting their triggers, and being hyperaware of what youâre doing whenever youâre together.Â
If you got out around the same time, youâd help eachother stay on track. His family would probably hover for months after he got out considering what had happened last time, but theyâd see that the two of you are good for eachother and that his mood is always better after meeting you at his favourite diner and texting you on the little flip phone theyâd gotten him instead of letting him have a smartphone.Â
Every day, youâd text him when you took your meds, and heâd do the same. Youâd probably talk on the phone a lot until his family relaxes a little and lets him hang out at your apartment with you. It would be scheduled visits, not too frequent at first, so you could both focus on your respective treatment plans.Â
I feel like his family would be afraid of him getting obsessive about seeing you and maybe youâre a little afraid of letting yourself get too wrapped up on him too, so you stick to a strict schedule.
Youâd both be so well-versed in what it felt like to slip that youâd be able to recognize the warning signs in one another and get ahead of any episodes.
Once you both felt stable and like youâd gotten into a good routine, youâd explore the more romantic side of your relationship, testing the waters with hand holding and gradually sitting closer and closer every time you saw eachother until you were cuddled up under a pile of blankets on your weekly movie nights.Â
Communication would be so, so important for both of you, both with eachother and your therapists. It would be a balancing act between not catching eachother off guard, but also trying not to plan out dates or your first kiss in great detail. Youâd both still want natural progression for your relationship and to allow yourselves something that isnât penciled into a rigid schedule. Â
Your first kiss would probably happen somewhere familiar, like the diner. I think youâd always sit next to eachother instead of across from one another, eventually so close that your legs were always touching. Youâd be muttering amongst yourselves, huddled up with half-eaten plates in front of you, and youâd both pause, realizing how close your faces were. It would be such a soft kiss. So tender and loving that it took your breath away. Youâd both pull away with pink cheeks and go back in for another.Â
Gabriel would need a lot of reassurance to feel secure. Youâd be sure to tell him every time he comes over that youâre so glad heâs there and that youâd missed him while youâd been apart.Â
I think that the first time Gabriel sleeps over at your apartment, it would be unplanned. Youâd probably fall asleep watching TV, wrapped around one another, breathing softly, and sleeping peacefully. Youâd probably be woken up by his phone ringing and his mom asking if he was alright, but it would be okay. Heâd tell her he was still at your place, and youâd whisper that he could stay the night if he wanted. He would. Of course, he would.Â
Youâd move into your bedroom and make yourselves comfortable, cuddled up under your sheets, and youâd probably both get the best sleep of your lives.Â
Sleepovers would be added to the schedule, then weekends, until heâs almost always there and has a drawer full of clothes in your dresser.Â
I think heâd love cooking with you and that youâd always be hanging off of eachother, laughing and chatting about any and everything.Â
The two of you would be nearly inseparable, to the point where you both need designated alone time so that you donât derail either of your progress by becoming codependent.Â
You could have a perfectly healthy relationship where you both support one another and grow as people, together.

You were always cold in the mornings. No matter how warm the room you were in was or who was sleeping next to you, you couldnât help but feel a chill. Itâs what made getting out of bed that much harder for you most days.
And today was no different as when you woke, your eyes fluttering sleepily open at the sound of rowdy neighbours in the motel room beside yours, you were quick to feel the cold seep into your body. Right down to your bones in a way that had you shaking almost immediately and it was as though someone had you on vibrate.
Normally youâd just pull the covers back up and nestle into the bed until you felt a smidge of warmth beneath your skin. But this morning you really, really needed to pee, therefore you couldnât wait any longer otherwise youâd burst. So you were left with no other choice but to suck it up, and face the cold of the room.
Before you did that though, you glanced to your side, the early morning sun that crept through the thin curtains casting perfectly over Gabrielâs sleeping face, making you smile softly as you still couldnât seem to wrap your head around the fact that you were dating an archangel.
If someone had told you back when you first met him, when he was making people believe they were being abducted by aliens and having alligators roam about the sewers, that youâd be here with him now youâd have laughed in their face.
Yet here you were, nestled beside one of Godâs first born angels in bed after a night of⊠Fun. And honestly? If you could go back and do it all over again, you wouldnât change a thing as there wasnât anywhere else youâd rather be than right here next to him.
Well actually, there was one place youâd rather be right now and that was the bathroom. You may have stared dreamily towards Gabriel a little too long and now you were on the verge of being unable to control your bladder anymore. You swung your legs out of bed, wincing at the sudden coldness that cascaded over you, erupting your skin in fierce goosebumps that could be seen from a mile away, they were that prominent.
Your feet hit the linoleum floor with a soft thud, sending a chill straight up your legs as they carried you around the bed. You grabbed the first article of clothing you could find on your way across the room, of which most of your clothes had been scattered about last night in yours and Gabrielâs vigorous attempts at speeding things along as it had been a while since you last saw each other.
It didnât click in your head that youâd picked up Gabrielâs shirt. The dark red button down that the angel favoured so much, which was evident by how often he wore that same outfit as he never had any reason to change. He didnât sweat, not like humans did. He was able to clean them up with a click of his fingers should they get bloody or dirty, therefore he could wear the same clothes for a lifetime and never once need to change them.
And you were totally not jealous of that at all. (You were.)
But anyway, you didnât seem to realise that you were wearing it, not until you left the bathroom, feeling much better, and spotted him sitting upright against the headboard, his arms folded over his chest and a rather cheeky grin on his face.
âLook at youâŠâ Gabriel exhaled, trailing his eyes up and down the length of your body, drinking in the sight of you hidden away beneath his shirt. âIf I didnât know any better, Iâd say you were purposely trying to turn me on.â
âWhat are you talking about?â You chuckled, hurrying towards the bed again as even though your top half was covered, your legs were still bare and you always did get incredibly cold feet.
âYouâre wearing my shirt.â Gabriel pointed out, watching with amusement as you slowed down on your travels across the room and glanced down at yourself.
He could see that smile itching to rise on your slowly blushing face. The way your hand landed on your stomach telling him it was fluttering beneath the fabric of his shirt and it was only then you both came to realise that even after the years youâd been seeing each other, youâd never once worn an article of his clothing.
âI was cold.â You said shyly, dipping your face to hide it from him.
You didnât know why it felt so⊠embarrassing to be caught wearing his shirt given the things you both did together, but perhaps it was because it was seen as a more romantic thing than inherently sexual is what made you a tiny bit nervous as to his reaction.
âThereâs no need to be shy, hotstuff.â Gabriel said playfully, cocking his head a little to motion for you to come towards him. âNot when you look far better wearing it than I ever could.â
He held out his hand the closer you got to him, pulling you onto his lap the second your fingers brushed and the moment you landed on him he could feel the goosebumps on your legs as they straddled him. His hands were quick to delve beneath the material, holding you close to him and allowing his own body heat to help warm you as he kissed you.
âMhm, you like seeing me in your clothes, donât you?â You teased, your shyness gone instantly as your arms slinked around his neck, fingers threading through his hair. âIn nothing but your clothes.â
âYouâre damn right I do, baby.â Gabriel whispered, the hotness of his breath puffing out over your lips before he took them in his again, kissing you with enough heat that it was like your entire body went up in flames. âItâs almost better than seeing you without any clothes at all.â
He kissed you once again, his hand trailing its way up your back, his fingers ghosting over the bumps of your spine in a way that had you shiver beneath his touch. Your own hand slipped from his hair, dropping between your bodies as you slowly began to pop open each button, something Gabriel was well aware of given how his lips rose beneath yours as he couldnât help but smile.
Itâs safe to say that what happened after that final button popped open, the way your bodies pressed tightly together; each brush of his lips and graze of his hands over every inch of your skin, was enough to make you forget all about the cold. And enough to make you want to wear his clothes forever as after that, you were pretty sure youâd never feel anything but hot ever again.
