A Tuesday morning wedding -- and a beautiful morning it is. Fiona wonāt deny crying if sheās accused, but really, it had felt justified. Itād been a well deserved moment of joy after a long time spent waiting. Isnāt that a worthwhile occasion for some happy tears? Sheās nothing but smiles now, though, and has just finished giving her eager well wishes to the bride when she turns in search of her cousin. Finding him quickly among their small crowd, Fiona grins, crossing the distance between them in a fluid motion and wrapping Gabe in a hug.Ā āCongratulations!ā The younger fae squeals into hisĀ shoulder, her smile wide enough to hurt somewhat, even as something troubles her. Thereās something there, something her empathy wonāt let her ignore, an uneasiness roiling in her cousin with enough fervor to bring about real concern. Fionaās quick to fix the furrow in her brow that this causes, straightening up to look Gabe in the face. This is a happy day, and besides, itās a bit late for cold feet. No, no. Itās something else, and just as quickly, Fiona decidesĀ sheās not so sure she wants to know. Back to the joy -- itās easier.Ā āIt was beautiful, Gabe. Iām so, so happy for you.ā A quick squeeze of his hand does nothing to soothe her worries, but itās affectionate even as her blue eyes search for something telling in his expression.Ā āHow are you feeling? Must be exciting toĀ finally be husband and wife.ā
