so one thing regarding my personal reasons behind reading that genre is “this is a big insecurity of mine”, constantly fearing i’m coming off as too much, too loud, too talkative, etc. and for those who read it i feel like they may agree

going into the “he calls you annoying”, to me, means that a huge fear/insecurity is someone you love calling you out on these insecurities, even if they’re just saying you “talk a lot sometimes”

for me when people said i talked too much i’d go silent to try and spite them, despite how little it worked which just hurt more— and that’s one reason i think we read these

when we change because of someone’s opinions and they don’t say anything or notice it feels like “oh, they were right, i am too annoying/loud/much” whereas if we change and they notice and ask questions and see if you’re okay and basically say they didn’t mean it, they were just mad, they love you the way you are, etc. it’s kind of vindicating

like “yes i talk a lot, but it’s part of me and you like me and therefore this part of me”

which is deeply rooted in being insecure, and wanting verbal/physical validation that someone we love/hold close to use doesn’t agree with that

sorry for the long rant

wow you really hit it right on the nail!! my old therapist and i dug into this years ago and she gave me a very watered down version of this and moved right onto the next subject but this really goes into every detail and makes me feel so much better that im not the only one who goes through these emotions too!

i also think its time i confirm that YES, you talk like alot will be getting a happy ending but its gonna take some time to get there, reader needs to stand on business just a liiiitleeee longer

those ‘he calls you annoying’ imagines had me in a CHOKEHOLDDDDD when i was 13 too baby, i think we’re living the same life!!
