Quickie news update for you all!

I've been cooking a lot for the mainline series, since I've gotten a little burnt out on DotS:MMM. Considering I've been working on it for the past two years straight without much time put into other projects, I've decided to take a small break so I can fix up the next chapters over time

Chapter 2's script is finished, it's just a matter of finishing the last few pages of Chapter 1 before finally moving on to drafting Ch2

I'm thinking about maybe doing both comics at the same time, that way I can juggle both and not get so burnt out on either LOL Like this is my series, so I can post stuff out of chronological order as I so please. I've been keeping myself a little to strictly and stifling my own creativity, so I'm gonna let loose again and go ham

Luckily both stories are pretty self-contained, just DotS:MMM will provide lead ups or context to sub-plot things, and hints towards stuff in DotS proper. It's otherwise very focused on Magolor and his backstory, with sub focus on Meta Knight!

To keep things a little less confusing between stories, I'm thinking of giving mainline a unique title like Magolor's Mechanical Mayhem has!

April is going to be a very busy time for me, not only because of my cousin's wedding, but a special visit from a special someone later on and a huge convention too. I'll only have a couple weeks of freedom between things, but come May there will be a big explosion of productivity because some of my responsibilities will at last be relieved 😭

Oh by the way here's some concept art for DotS! I've really fallen in love with this pencil brush, and it's unleashed my paper drawing skills into digital <33 I feel at home with this brush, since I've spent a good part of my artist life penciling things on paper

Monster Hunter Wilds has taken over my life and infected my art Enjoy this new hobo monster hunter guy who makes all his weapons out of monster bones, and his armor out of various monster skins, parts, furs and scales. Hybrid of Joe's species (we've adopted a friend's hc name for them "Fytelf") and a type of D'nno of mine called Sandies, or Sand'nnos for long— a desert-dwelling species of D'nno that's rather lithe and tall

He ties his hair back with rope so that's pretty cool

Oh and he's been learning how to braid his hair, so when he gets it right, he refuses to undo the braid because it's such a ridiculous effort for him. I have no idea how long some of those braids have been in there, but what I do know is that they're staying LMAAAOOO

The beard is the only well trimmed thing on him because as you can see he attempted his bangs a short while back, and that turned out horribly

Anyhow I've got a lot of fresh new story, content, lore and more! Oh oh and I've finally got Orpheus to sit his lovely little ass down to help me out with his novel story, so chapters of that will be in production again sooner or later, we'll see in the coming months

Nightfall was very well on its way with 3 full chapters when I hit a few snags, and then we like obliterated everything, so I was back to the drawing board with that. Not so much anymore thanks to, unsurprisingly, Monster Hunter Wilds giving me the inspiration I needed!
