Los Angeles electronic duo FYOHNA first mesmerized us several months ago when they released their video for debut single Ghost Heart. The clip was a live performance on which vocalist Katarina Gleicher and producer/multi-instrumentalist showcased their dexterity and talent while playing the finespun alt pop gem. You can re-visit the video, here, after which I highly recommend you don’t pass up on this chance to dive into their gorgeous new song, Believe You. Its a noble and regal slice of evocative indie electronica and glacial pop, propelled by a beautifully haunting melody and Katarina’s gracefully enthralling voice. We’re fortunate that this absorbing live video for FYOHNA’s debut single Ghost Heart has surfaced, otherwise we may have let the Los Angeles electronic duo’s song slip us by. We get to watch vocalist Katarina Gleicher and producer/multi-instrmentalist Elliot Glasser perform their debut with an intricate and unique live setup. The pair are described as focused on achieving emotional warmth and expansive atmopsheres through their live performance and powerful, yet tender vocal presence. They’re certainly entrancing in Ghost Heart’s new video, and plenty of warmth emits from within the song’s finespun alt pop. It’s been a year since we last heard from them, but the bewitching spell FYOHNA has cast upon us with their dark electro/art pop has not abated or waned, only increased and intensified now that the Los Angeles trio is back with Lie Down. The last thing we want to do is lie down as we twist and turn, slink and slither, alongside its blistering synths and corkscrew melodies, all emphatically delivered alongside beautifully scalding vocals and sensuous haunting production. Like some of our favorite tracks from other artists, Lie Down starts out as an anguished lament but unfurls into a perceptive message of self acceptance and love.
