Sage would like to thank his lucky stars for letting him befriend someone as amazing as Theo. And thoughts like that always happen after the two have been out, advocating change and helping with local protests — or even starting their own. It had been a long Saturday and Sage didn’t think he really had all that much in him but the protest that Theo suggested that they join lasted all day. Though, even if Sage had known it would’ve been that long, he still would’ve gone. Anything that means he could spend more time with Theodore himself. Since they got back into town so late, they decided to both just crash at Sage’s place —— in which, Sage offered very quickly. With shaky hands, Sage reached under the mat for the keys to the house once they had exited the car. His cheeks were dusted a light pink and his eyes were glossed with sleep, his tall exterior slumping a bit from being tired. “Y-You can shower first,” He whispered, pushing the door open. Theo had scattered inside before he could say another word and Sage didn’t blame him. It was chilly outside. ( Que ‘Baby, it’s Cold Outside’ to now get stuck in his head. ) He knew he should get the couch ready because he would probably make himself sleep there and give Theo his bed no matter how much they argued about it. But, before he could even get ready for bed — he had nodded off a bit on the couch. Sage didn’t even remember falling asleep, but he does remember waking up and seeing a tiny silhouette standing in front of the TV, switching between different channels. His green eyes noticed that the shirt the silhouette was wearing was much too big and hung off his body like a night gown. It was also a light yellow, and he could tell because the glow of the TV was giving off some detail. He could also tell that the persons hair was wet, like they had just come out of the shower and then it all clicked to Sage. Theo. And that was his shirt. His infamous, ‘I like it raw’ T-shirt. Sage was going to alert Theo he was awake, and that it was late — they should both be asleep — but he didn’t. Sage just let himself stay silent on the lumpy, old couch as he watched Theo get a bit frustrated because apparently, “No good shows are ever on this late.”

“I just want one more drink,” And that was said by an already drunk enough Theo who was pulling lightly at Sage’s hand. Sage wasn’t a huge party goer. He rather just take some bottles of alcohol to his room, a few blunts and season five of Friends and make himself a party of one that way. But, Theo asked — and he couldn’t say no. His weakness was just Theo himself. “You’re proper drunk, do you need another?” But, no one listens to Sage because he’s now being dragged back over to the drink table. There was barely anything left, but of course Theo was able to conjure up something and get one more drink into him. “Let’s go dance!” And that drunken babble was answered with a shake of the head, and a point back to the couch he was sitting on. Though, that didn’t seem to cramp his friend’s style and he was off —- And a little pang hit Sage’s stomach because he didn’t want to dance, but he wanted to do anything with Theo at the same time. He sulked himself onto the couch, his green eyes going from his phone to Theo and back and fourth until the late of the night. Before he knew it, Theo was back and Sage wanted to ignore him but the boy was slumped on the side of him and Sage could tell he was tired. “Sleepy? You were dancing like —-” Before he could even finish his sentence, Theo let himself lean down until the head of soft, chestnut brown hair was resting in Sage’s lap. Drunk, tired, and still so fucking beautiful. “Alright,” He sighed, tilting his head as he watched Theo fall asleep with his head pressed into his thigh. “True party king, you are.”

Theo didn’t even ask — but he really didn’t have to ask. Sage woke up on a Sunday morning to an endless amount of texts which all consisted of either sick face emojis, sad faces, or a mix of the two. He got the idea soon after the sixth text that morning and decided that his Sunday was going to be dedicated to senior that he cared for so dearly. That’s how he ended up in the boys house, with two large coffees on the table as he pulled out a donut from the donut box that he had bought on his way here. Theo was probably still in bed, so he gathered up his coffee and donut and charged his way into Theo’s bedroom. His knee pushed open the creaky wood, and after setting down the boys breakfast —- he ran into the bathroom to gather up some medicine. Advil was always a life saver. Carrying the medicine and a water bottle in his hands, he climbed into Theo’s bed and hovered over the boy with a small pout. “Theo!” He yelled, startling the older boy awake and having his rather large self pushed off with a scream. After being cursed out for scaring him, Sage tries to control his laughter before speaking. “M’your nurse for the day. And if you don’t want random people coming in,” He began, setting the medicine down on the sheets. “Then, don’t leave your front door unlocked. Now, take this.” He moved the pills from the sheets and into Theo’s hand. “You have coffee on the night sand with a donut. Eat up, love. And rest. I’ll bring your homework in here and help you finish it as you rest.” Rolling off the mattress, Sage stood to his feet as he was about to leave the room. “Don’t you worry — We will have you feeling like an all star before tomorrow or my name isn’t Sage.”
