honestly, the whole “half a roof” thing really never bothered cullen -- he was a bulky, muscled man who ran hot on a good day, when he wasn’t waking up drenched in sweat from nightmares of past memories gone wrong. of course, those nightmares came few and far between, with the comforting weight of dorian against his side, with the ability to toss his arm over the man and curl around him. still, he generally woke up on his back, blankets long since kicked off against heat that dorian clearly didn’t feel.  it had been a particularly cold night, and when cullen stirred, the first thing that he’s aware of is the feeling of blankets over his legs -- at first, he thought that was what woke him, before the tickle of his lover’s mustache against his skin had him laughing, muscles tensing against the gentle onslaught of kisses, and the brush of a cold nose against the train of hair that lead down. pushing himself up onto his elbows with a lazy grunt, he smiled down at the mage, who peered out of the blankets and reminded him of a very self satisfied cat. “ how long have you been up, “ he asked, ignoring the way his stomach growled at the mere mention of food.
