So I’ll go with a current obsession book wise which would be the A Court of series by Sarah J Maas. The entire series has it all, and I love how each one is a somewhat retelling of a classic that we know. A Court of Roses and Thorns - Beauty and The Beast. A Court of Mist and Fury - Hades and Persephone and finally A Court of Wings and Ruin - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. 

The quote I’ll pick is from the third book, so I’m sorry. “It's a rare person to face who they are and not run from it - not be broken by it.”

Its a soft laugh, followed by a sigh and her wondering what she did to deserve such a man. But everytime she thinks about the first time she really began to trust Vyn she giggles. He had figured out she was shy, and she wasn’t sleeping and he had finally got her to trust him enough to go to his place. Now people might be like oH MAN THEY DID THE THING! They did not. She told him its easier to sleep beside someone, and that she always felt safe in blanket forts. So he made a blanket for for her in his living room, and remained still and kept his hands to himself while she rested against him. That was the first night she got more then two hours of sleep. It always makes her giggle when she thinks about how hard he tried for her.

☒ I am relentlessly hard on myself. This isn’t a mild throwaway flaw; I mean, I am really hard on myself. I set my bar unrealistically high, and fuss over how I come off to people. If I make a mistake, I often struggle with getting past the “self forgiveness” stage.

☒ I loathe being misunderstood and will go to annoying lengths to make sure that doesn’t happen. This can make heated arguments with me very grating, because it’s hard for me to stop nit-picking specifics until I know the other person “gets it.” Almost nothing is more aggravating than someone “not getting me”, because it’s happened so regularly throughout my life.

☒ I hyper-focus. I have always struggled with moving on from one thing to the next, and tend to overthink and dwell on things I need to let go of.
