Callie: perused the appetizer buffet table, one hand wrapped around her wine glass, the other holding securely on to her nearly full plate. The wedding ceremony had been beautiful, as Callie had expected, and the reception thus far had not disappointed. The table Callie was scanning had already seen action by the reception goers, but the food had been plentiful and there were leftovers. Callie had, of course, already made a trip up the the buffet and the blonde had also eaten the main course, which sat heavily in her stomach, a testament to how delicious it had been. She had yet to taste the beautifully decorated cake and, as it was being distributed to the guests several tables away from hers, the woman took a moment to gather what would be her lunch the following day. It was true, that, with having procrastinated her packing for California, Callie's cluttered mind, full of thoughts about dog toys, toiletries, outfits, and electronics, held little room for thinking about preparing meals. It was lucky for her, Callie thought, that Charlie and Shayla's wedding was a mere three days before her departure. And, as she reached for some baby carrots, the woman's blue eyes spotted Dana, Myles' longtime girlfriend and one of her friends. Quickly plopping the carrots next to some rolls that would not last long, Callie waved to Dana in attempt to get the brunette to come to the buffet table and join her for some conversation.
