      ‘ damn’t, gilbert, ‘ it’s a HUFF that leaves lips, as he peers through slightly opened eyes to discover the only other person occupying the room is the younger vampire version of himself. it was all a blur – the attacks, the screams – everything & where the hell was ANNA. fuck. she was THERE when the plan came crumbling down ; ( was that her SCREAMING as it faded to black ? )        & it’s that thought that causes him to jerk upright. anger & fear becoming evident in aged features. ‘ what the hell happened ? where is she ? ‘ did he fail her ( as he did countless times before ) . the hunter with the SCARRED heart – whom carried a habit of pushing EVERYONE away , is now on the verge of falling to pieces at the thought of losing her. ‘ tell me she’s okay. is that why YOU’RE here ? because something happened to anna –  ‘ he barely catches his breath before letting the other talk. was it so hard to believe that his teenage REFLECTION could possibly care about the useless drunk ? was it so HARD to believe that after all they’ve been through – they hold some kind of friendship ? perhaps – & perhaps, the elder felt APPRECIATION that someone sat near his bed as he was POSITIVE that this was his last run. but god forbid he ever tells him that.                         ‘ you tell anna that i freaked out & my stake will say hello to your heart.                          —- but, uh – what are you doin’ still sitting there ? make yourself useful                          & see if they got beer in the cafeteria. ‘ 

           ‘ last i checked , i ordered a shot of whiskey ,                                              ---- not a conversation with the annoying vampire version of me. ‘

     “Yeah? Too late for that now.”     “Now, I’ve gotta figure out what the Hell we’re going to do with a Psycho Original on our ass and my witchy ex-girlfriend helping him.”

        “—— camping.. - with you?”

“Wellll,” Bonnie began, drawing out the first word a second longer than necessary as she didn’t bother looking over at the person that moved to occupy the seat next to her (though she already knew who it was, anyway), “seeing as how can I still recall every single one of my problems— definitely not drunk enough.” Throwing the other female a brief, half attempted smile, she downed the rest of her drink before setting the empty glass back on the surface of the bar. 

"Don’t sound so surprised," Bonnie muttered, a light roll of her eyes directed at the smaller vampire at her underhanded, almost teasing comment as they left the small, antique shop. An ancient pendant rested in Anna’s hands and as she looked over it carefully, Bonnie continued. "You don’t need to compel every person to get what you want — especially with that guy. Please. Just a little bit more pathetic flirting and he would have easily handed over the most prized possession in that place.” The witch shook her head, amused, as they traipsed along.
