I’m Not in Plegia Anymore || Robin & Edelgard
A radiating ache stretched from the center of his torso to the tips of his right fingers, ebbing outward in throbbing, pulse-like waves. In a moment of confusion, Robin swore his head was underwater, surrounded by its weighty pressure. Then, abrupt like thunder following a strike of lightning, the tactician became acutely aware that he was lying on his back. Chocolate eyes flung open and he jolted upright in alarm, hissing in response to the shooting pain that greeted him as a result of his hasty movement. Instinctively, he looked to his hands, then to his limbs, searching for any obviously injuries. Though he couldn’t locate a single physical wound, traces of magic danced along his skin.
Great. He groaned to himself. With a careful, gloved hand, he pinched at the spark of magic before it leap away, drawing it close to his face for inspection. Remnants of a warp spell. Teleportation magic had a unique composition compared to other spells of that nature, and as a result, it was easily identifiable. Though mostly physically harmless, it was far from a desirable outcome.
Grimacing, Robin shifted to his feet, patting the dust from his trousers as he scanned his immediate surroundings. One moment, he had been journeying in Plegia, searching an abandoned town along the border that felt familiar to him. The next...he hadn’t the slightest inkling as to where he had landed. I’m definitely not in Plegia anymore. Robin thought to himself wryly, raising a hand to his face to shade his eyes from the sun. Where ever I am, this climate isn’t anything like Plegia nor Ylisse...just where did I get zapped to? Returning his attention to his own person, he looked within his cloak and frowned. Not a single warp tome or staff. Well, this isn’t ideal.
