#future tactics

It was incredible, it was a turned based shooter (great for if you don't have the reflexes for a proper shooter like me), great character design, great game play, great lore, great story, all the cut scenes were utilizing in-game animations, very destructible terrain, and the soundtrack is incredible.

The AI has alot of "product of its time" charm to it where some enemies will blow themselves up trying to shoot you which really helps make you feel better after you do the same thing(be very very careful about which roofs are real and which are fake when using mortar style weapons.

But yeah I wanted to look up some things, like there was this one chick who I think was a healer and a sniper (like two other characters I can think of) but I don’t remember exactly. I might look up gameplay on it because I would really like to see stuff about that game again.

Genre: Turn-Based Strategy/First-Person Shooter

Gameplay: Natural-feeling with controls that are easy to pick up but difficult to master. A surprisingly challenging combat system with an intentionally slidey scope that makes a headshot very difficult and very satisfying. Well-done destructable environments, a slick movement system and the ability to jump! Strategy as simple as turning your back to your opponent before ending your turn really does make a difference.  Has hot-seat and dual controller style multi-player battles.

Graphics: Bright and comprehensible, characters are easily identifiable and cartoonish. Cut scenes are not pre-rendered and not stunning, but are understandable. Music: Unique, a little Spanish and sometimes a little techno. Competent voice acting and overall good sounds.

Story: Simple, but it gets the job done. Is mainly a vehicle to move the player from one battle to the next. Characters: As simple as the story, in terms of personality, but each one plays differently enough from the others that it’s easy to pick a favorite for each kind of situation.

In Conclusion: A game I am very happy to own and will make a habit of playing frequently. Not for everyone as the shooting can be frustrating, but definitely a game for me. With unlockables, a training arena and solid multi-player it provides enough to keep it going for a long time.
