As Protector of her world Blaze's sworn duty was to anticipate, locate, and deal with intruders. Her island home was one of many, and she had a duty to insure they were all protected. Yet her island was special, it lie at the center of an impassable sea, no ship could cross it and no aircraft could navigate the storms that surrounded it. It was for all intents and purposes sealed away from the mortal realms beyond. Those who dwelled on her island, were chosen by its protector generations ago and only those families were allowed to dwell within. They were mostly priests, or holy men and shrine maidens who tended the island and the flame's physical place of manifestation.

However, dimensional incursions are not uncommon and so the beacon room was created. A Room that draws dimensional gate ways, portals and teleportation to a central point. Anyone trying to enter her world would always find themselves at the cross roads, a beautiful ivory building with a central chamber filled with flickering torches and braziers. Here the Temple guard watched over those who would arrive either by accident or with ill intent. If one had evil in there heart the flames would flicker red, if they were of a pure heart it would glow blue. Those who fell in the middle? The flames remained calm and saw no change.

this was how Matilda would arrive to this world--- in a flash of bright light she was pulled from her destination by force and dropped into the room with a thud!

The two Canine guards looked at each other and waited for the flames response, while another left to locate there mistress. The first of the canine guards dressed almost in greek like attire would approach the small child.

" Are... you alright? the Beacon can be disorienting... you should give yourself a moment to recover, I ask you remain where you are until the Princess arrives... all new comers are to be questioned by her before release... I hope you will be cooperative "

Her voice was kind as it could be though clearly held some authority.
