8 Graves latest single might be named Numb, but I can assure you that you won’t come away from it feeling numb at all. The NYC duo goes gloriously future grunge on their fourth single from their forthcoming EP, Black. They bring us a compelling infusion of their unique and singular blend of alt electro and grungy future bass after having seen things take off the past few months behind their last single Bury Me Low, which you can stream below via Suicide Sheep’s YouTube channel. This is all welcome news to us considering our long standing adoration of 8 Graves’ rousing and gritty electronica. The band was even featured on Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger this past season, which must be a wonderful feather in the cap for anyone. Can you imagine being a part of the Marvel universe, in any way, shape, or form, much less having your music featured on one of their shows? Numb we certainly aren’t as we take in 8 Graves’ triumphant new anthem. Some Linkin Park meets AWOLNATION gone future grunge vibes exude from the track. 

Singer Brent Carpentier says: "Numb is basically about the way I feel 99% of the time. I've had a really hard time connecting to people. After a while, the the lack of love, the lack of meeting people who inspire you, the lack of doing things that are new, and the general routine of life takes over. At first that made me angry, and then it made me sad and, eventually, it just made me quit. At that point, you kind of shut down, and feeling much of anything becomes rare. Numb is about that place.
