People are defending Mork, but coming for Pi.
I can't believe I created an entire new blog here on Tumblr just to rant because I feel like I'm being too forceful on Twitter. See, Mork? You gotta be self-aware and realize when you're, perhaps, pushing a bit.
I want to know why I see so many people coming for Pi, saying Mork deserves better, Pi should just stay alone, when Mork isn't a perfect prince.
One thing: Public love confessions are so complicated, I hate them 99% of the time. It is usually just a tool of manipulation to make the person being confessed to accept the confession because they fear being seen as the bad guy or being harassed by "romance enthusiasts". One could argue that the situation here is different because Mork is sure Pi likes him back and because we, the audience, also know that Pi likes him back, but I honestly think that's no excuse. Whether Pi is in denial or not, that does not give Mork the right to just air their business to people all the time on social media. To 45k people in that stupid live. Social pressuring Pi into accepting Mork's feelings.
After Pi flips out and lashes out at the two shippers, Mork has the audacity to say: You shouldn't have said that to them. Mork, you enabled this behavior, sir. It just annoys me to see people not willing to see Pi's side.
Yes, Pi can give mixed signals, but Mork is pushy and (almost) stalker-ish. That line about "I'll harass you in your room too."? Is that supposed to be romantic? I swear, Jitti Rain loves a protagonist that is forceful.
