1) RE: your “better run now” post. As someone who suffers from BPD (and has been dealing with it for 10 years now), I can tell you that that’s EXACTLY our mindset. We do feel that people are better off not being friends with us, not because we are being overdramatic or lame or think we are important; quite the opposite. We think we’re worthless and bring nothing to the table, and are just a burden to people. I don’t see it as condescending, we just see how draining we can be (cont.)
2) and would rather have people not go through it. I’m not saying this in a meanway, btw, and this is obviously my opinion only. I get where you're comingfrom.
hey ive got bpd too and that tends to be my mindset like i know exactly how someone could have taken it as an attack on people like that but this last anon i had said it how i meant: non mentally ill people who say it to seem ~edgy and dark and dangerous and mysterious~. i realize i should have elaborated on that but i made the post out of frustration and didn’t expect anyone to pay attention to it.
ill end with saying that i am mentally ill and have that mentality a lot but the people who i was referring to in the post come across distinctly different to me than the people who genuinely believe the world is better off without them.
