She loved Anakin and her heart ached when his did --- but she was still a human woman with her own emotions as well. Unlike him, however, she had a better constraint over her. Taking a deep breath, Padme turned towards. “ I know you’re having a hard time right now, Ani --- but I am suppose to host a very important dinner here tonight and I don’t have time to fix it by then ! ”

A SCOFF PASSES her lips before she can choke it down. She knows the phrase, one which passed her father’s lips often in the face of adversity. And he had been right, until he wasn’t. Nothing isn’t impossible failed Bail when the Empire OBLITERATED Alderaan. Sometimes things were impossible, and they all needed to accept that. Perhaps less would be if they were Jedi... or Sith, but they weren’t, were they? At least, she ISN’T .
❝ That doesn’t make it any more likely! ❞ Heart thudding in her chest, she presses her spine against the durasteel wall. The impossible applies here, no visible path out of the catastrophe she finds herself trapped within. What a time for her HOPE to fail her...
