funny how it's "respect everyone's political opinions" when someone goes to a trump rally but it's "keep politics out of sports" when guys wanna support black lives matter or queer people

In the 80s New Jersey had a series of ads to boost tourism with the slogan "New Jersey and You: Perfect Together." This month my coworker wrote a story about the cat cafes opening around the state. I told her I'm making the online summary, "New Jersey and cat cafes: Purrfect Together" and she sighed for 20 minutes.

i find it hilarious 😆 that maggie wrote a series so deeply inspecting class/classism and sexuality and mental health but then the hero is the straight(in her eyes) white american republican and the evil irredeemable villain of book 2 is a poor openly queer/gay immigrant boy with mental illness and substance abuse who ends up killing himself.... and she really defended the fact she wrote it like this with her whole chest even when readers criticized her and she went as far as to say she wrote kavinsky as a vent oc to kill off bc she hates frat boys (understandable but... maggie you really... made one of the only openly lgbt and mentally ill immigrant characters kill himself and then never mention it again except when she wants to wipe his memory in the dirt R I P)
