Appearance

Rabecca is a grey-ish indigo anthropomorphic rabbit, with a snout, a pair of long floppy ears that reach her legs, a tail, a tuft of fur on the sides of her head and forehead, darker grey-ish indigo star-shaped freckles on her cheeks, and a pair of buck teeth that are always seen poking out of her mouth (similar to Ollie). While they’re not shown often, Rabecca also has darker grey-ish indigo paws on her hands and feet.

Rabecca wears light blue nightgown with white fluff on the collar, two white buttons, vertical lighter blue stripes, and white lace on the sleeves and ends of the nightgown. The sleeves are oversized, covering her hands. She also wears a pair of white socks. a pair of light blue slippers, and a light blue sleep mask with white lace and two closed eyes on it.

Personality

Rabecca has a gentle, patient, quiet, and kind personality. While comparatively introverted, similar to Manny, Rabecca is always willing to lend an ear and hand to anyone who needs help. Unlike Manny, Rabecca’s introversion comes more from just preferring peace and quiet rather than from anxiety and shyness. She can also be quite curious, as seen in some of her quests.

Rabecca can be quite lazy and lethargic, sometimes falling asleep at inopportune times, as noted in her dialogue and her “Power Nap” ability. Despite her patience and gentle nature, she can be a bit sarcastic as well. She also has a tendency to forget things and can have her head in the clouds at times.

Rabecca has the habit of getting other’s names wrong, such as calling Anton “Anthony”, calling Manny “Danny”, calling Dusty “Rusty”, and calling Grinwell “Grimwell”. This is not out of malice and more likely due to the memory issues the pals seem to have.

The sleepiest of all rabbits. She can be a little lazy and can have her head in the clouds sometimes, but she’s always there to help whenever possible.

Moveset

Guiding Star (Passive)

Upon completing a task, all tasks in the area will be highlighted for her and her teammates for 5 seconds.

Power Nap (Active)

Following a brief windup, Rabecca falls asleep for 10 seconds, healing herself by one heart once she wakes up. She cannot move while asleep but will be woken up if she gets hit by a Cryptid or Outcast, cancelling the ability. 60 second cooldown. Can only be used twice per area. 

Relaxing Tunes (Active)

Leaves a music box where she is standing, which increases the stamina regeneration when Rabecca and her teammates step into its area of effect, as well as curing them of any debuffs and will cause the poison meter to decrease faster. The music box will last for 25 seconds. 45 second cooldown.

Cryptid Rabecca

Who is Cryptid Rabecca?

A cryptid that emits a strange black gas when she spots any unfortunate Pal that crosses paths with her.

Behavior

Wanders the map until she spots a player. Upon spotting a player, she emits a cloud of black sleeping gas that slows stamina regeneration, increases stamina usage, and makes the screen darker for five seconds should a player come into contact with it. The gas cloud will linger for a while (10 seconds) before she makes another one.

Trivia/Headcanons/Lore

Rabecca’s tendency to get names wrong was based on Blaze-On-Fire’s experience playing FUNHOUSE, where she tended to accidentally call Anton “Anthony”, spelled Splits with a Z, and called Dusty “Rusty”.

Rabecca is based on Astro from Dandy’s World and Nimbus from Toons Universe. Rabecca can be considered the FUNHOUSE equivalent to those two characters. 

Rabecca’s default color palette is based on Cocoa’s “Spring Outing” skin from Dandy’s World.

Her ears and the way her head is drawn are also based on Cocoa.

Rabecca’s oversized sleeves are based on Gigi from Dandy’s World as well as Nimbus. 

Rabecca’s “Power Nap” is almost the exact same as Nimbus’, down to the name. However functionally it’s similar to Bramble’s (Dandy’s World: GoS) Power Nap ability in that it is used as a self heal.

Rabecca’s passive ability is based on Vee’s “Mic Check” ability from Dandy’s World. As well as a stronger version of the “Task Addict” perk.

Her last name comes from the French word for rabbit; “Lapin”. 

Her first name is a pun on the name “Rebecca” with the word “Rabbit”.

Rabecca does not like carrots, despite the common stereotype around rabbits.

She does not like coffee either, she’s more of a tea person.

Rabecca does, however, love chocolate. Which is ironic since it’s poisonous to real life rabbits.

Rabecca also loves ice cream, her favorite flavors being chocolate, cotton candy, and Moon Mist.

Curious Latecomer is a mix between Alice and The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland

The outfit specifically being based on the “Late But Lucky” dress from “Alice: Madness Returns”.

Dreadful Dolly is a reference to the “Love Rabbit” plushie from American McGee’s “Plushie Dreadfuls” toyline.

Lucky Classic is a reference to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Rabecca’s description is also a reference to Oswald, specifically a lyric from his “Lucky Rabbit” song (“Nicest rabbit that you ever knew!”)

Chocolate Bunny is based on and references Cocoa from Dandy’s World.

Rabecca being Chinese is based on the “Rabbit on the Moon” or “Jade Rabbit”, a mythical figure from East Asian (China, Japan, Korean, etc) and Indigenous folklore.

This combined with Rabecca’s themes around space, stars, and the moon is why Blaze chose her to be a rabbit.

Though it also came about as a rabbit named “Rabecca” was “the first thing that came to my mind.”

Rabecca has a great sense of direction but a bad sense of time.

Cryptid Rabecca came about after Rabecca got her right leg chopped off by one of the other Cryptids, and bled out to death.

This is reflected in her Cryptid counterpart, as the sleeping gas comes out from the stump where her leg used to be, as if she’s still bleeding.

Due to the missing leg, Cryptid Rabecca uses her arms to move, similar to Cryptid Frankie.

Cryptid Rabecca’s mechanic is based on Blaze-On-Fire’s rework of Twisted Astro, as both of them emit something that decreases stamina regeneration and causes the screen to go dark.

The mechanic is also based on the Gas Leak event from Toons Universe, which is caused by Infected Nimbus.

Shortly after being revived by Grinwell, Rabecca feels numbness in her left leg, which leaves her with walking issues for a short while. In this state she either walks with a limp or requires a cane/crutch to move.

Rabecca does have the ability to enter the dreams of others when they’re asleep. However, she can not create or manipulate the dreams, acting more as either a passive observer, a guide, or a participant (whether she wants to be one or not).
