her questions:

1) What magazines do you subscribe to, or read regularly?

i don't subscribe to any, but maybe this year i should- my friend used to get some pretty ones like oh comely and things & maybe it would be nice to get some illustration ones. i check the rookiemag & vice websites every now & then.

2) If you doodle what do you draw?

3) Have you ever been abroad alone?

actually, no! i'm not sure how good i'd be at travelling alone, but i'd like to find out.  maybe if the interailing thing my friends & i have loosely planned doesn't work out then i'll just go to berlin alone instead.

4) What is your fave mode of transport?

probably cycling & i like the security of walking, i have a love/hate relationship with public transport-i love the idea but in execution it's a bit horrible. the tube is the worst & i am looking forward to driving.

5) Do you collect anything?

i used to collect china cats but now i don't really have a specific thing, unless cameras and books count.

6) If you could change your name to anything (surname and all) what would it be?

when i was a kid i used to LOVE the name Savvanah (and Jasmine as well) & even though "Beth" feels kind of weird for me i don't know what i'd prefer. sometimes i wish my first name was more french or japanese though. 

7) Have you ever been stung by a bee?

two summers ago me & my favourite girl were clearing out her playhouse & i shook out a tarpaulin & it had a bee/wasp nest inside & it smashed open on the ground & me & her ran to the end of the garden (THE WRONG END) so we had to run through A WALL OF BEES, i got so many in my hair and inside of several layers of clothes & got stung twice-she got away with none.

8) What’s your fave smell?

freshly washed washing powdery smell & post-rain earthy smell, there was a big storm where i live & it blew over loads of evergreen trees on the way to stephen's house that let out the nicest sappy green smell

9) What is your grandparent’s house like? 

i haven't been to either sets of my grandparents houses for years and years. the last time i went to my english ones i can't have been any older than 6, my strongest memory is the fire burning stove. it was a small house with a big garden, i think. my japanese grandmother's house is tiny with no garden, with one of those traditional low tables with the duvet that runs around the edge.

10) would you rather live in a tree house or a house boat?

i wish i could combine the two, a tree house that you could move around.
