WONDER is a book about a boy who has congenital facial abnormality. It's a book that strongly criticizes the social psyche about how people judge someone based on their facial features rather than looking at the content of their character. For me even if I had seen the movie beforehand, the book presented a magical world with wonderful characters and it seemed like the pages were almost turning themselves. I must say that Palacio is exploring some fundamental truths about how humans behave and how they should behave. Overall it was a good read and I enjoyed all the emotions and the circs that August was going through getting to know the outside world despite his unusual appearance.
