I’m not really sure about my view that Eurodance were inherently funny, the consequent contexts and the ironic nostalgia made this a hipster fact. Sure, Fun Factory, for instance, were hilarious in the vein of many Eurodance outfits, i.e. they followed the formulas of the genre so much you could only laugh. I mean, the tune on the link resembles DJ Bobo so much he could’ve sued them and he might even have a point in there, but there’s one thing we mustn’t forget – he would then have to sue many more, including himself. Yes, the characteristics of the brand were omnipresent, though the results were somehow still varied and each of these songs had something special. Personally, I think they represented the change in Europe at the time.
