answering questions about my wips here!!

liturgy is the catholic durgetash au lol it is so cursed so far, i accidentally went into a fugue state between yesterday and today and wrote like 5k words.... so far it's about cardinal gortash being sent to some provincial town to investigate claims of heresy and cult activity where he meets the cult leader's daughter (durge) and finds he can use this whole thing to further his position in the church. here's a snippet:

“And this… Bhaal. Who is he? Your god?”

“My god and father.”

His next question quite slips past his lips. “What does he think of you calling me Father?”

Her lips part, but no words come out. He catches a glimpse of her tongue behind her teeth. A coil of heat unfurls low in his belly. 

“Do you like that I call you Father?” she asks.

He taps his chin with his finger. “Perhaps.”

She slides open the divider suddenly. He’s struck by the full and unobstructed view of her, her face more impactful than the dreams and daydreams of the past day, hitting him in the chest like a fist.
