short post bc I had no idea what to write...
AMAZON MERFOLK
merfolk reside in the Amazon River, their tails typically have some elements similar to an anaconda! They spend most of their time absorbing the nature all around them, and also playing with the various animals that live with them.
ARCTIC MERFOLK
These merfolk reside in the Arctic Ocean—tails resembling orcas&seals. One thing they love doing is playing with the cute baby orcas&seals. Since they live in the Arctic, they have small patches of ice (like resembling scales) on their skin!
PACIFIC MERFOLK
To no surprise, is home to the biggest population of merfolk reside in the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean is often referred to as the "Heart of the Merfolk." Their tails resemble many animals; whales, sharks, jellyfish, and just about any other animal that lives in the ocean!
ATLANTIC MERFOLK
The Atlantic Ocean is home to the second largest merfolk population. A large number of them also reside in the Caribbean Sea! (Their tail stuff is similar to the Pacific Merfolk).
Many more merfolk reside in various other kinds of water--such as the Indian Ocean, The Great Lakes, etc.
All of them have special bonds to the animals/creatures that reside in the same waters as them--so attacks on them never happen.
