“Half-gods like Hornet do eventually grow into divinity, but it takes thousands of years and a hell of a lot of molts. Said divinity can be achieved also by absorbing the power of another god which forces them into an extra long molt as they’re basically fasttracked to godhood - this often results in them being a wee bit feral when they come out of the molt since it’s such a large change in a relatively short period of time, the older the demigod the less this affects them, but younger ones like Hornet would be affected really badly since it’s basically like skipping through another couple thousand years worth of molts. Final iterations look different depending on wether another god is absorbed or they grow into it naturally”

In the doodle the two are a good bit older, Hornet’s head looks more PK-ish, they’re married :3
