Nevermind.

I just what to say to our dearest @leafylost, happy fouth anniversary! To what, to the most beautiful, well-written and emotional RothFrye fic all fans need to read one day or another, The Most Dangerous of Liaisons.

Published at May 2, 2016. Four years already and it’s still highly meanful for me and I hope for everyone else who had read it.

Why this fic is so special, at least for me? Of course there’s amazing RothFrye fics out there, highly recommended, but this one? Not only gives a whole different outcome to Sequence 8, it gives something else, it gives life. It makes sense, close enough to the canon storyline, the dance both Jacob and Maxwell lead together as their business partnership evolves into something else, the exchange of affections, the conflicts that it caused, the doubts and the yearning, the role of other characters like Evie in the process, the final fight against Starrick even more impactful than in the game, the desperation of the finale.

A story of love that evolves in the non-convensional way, still natural, still so in character, giving Maxwell Roth another path and still he’s still the same Roth of the game. The details of the city ad the Alhambra Theatre, the places I could recognize from my trips.

Just everything about this fic is even in one single word... perfection.

There’s no other way to describe it. And that’s why this fic holds a very special place in my heart. Leafy, my friend. It’s thanks to you that I’m working in this for so long, your fic inspired me to make this step into the fandom. I know I had bad times and I doubted, but each time I read your words, again I feel in love with Maxwell and Jacob. You re-write Sequence 8, to make it even better than the canon.

I can’t find more words to give justice of what I feel about this fic, so I invite other fans to write their impressions about the fic. I hope we could spread more love into the story, reading each day, smiling, crying, excitement, desperation... love.
