Well, hello!
While I've been up on the lake chasing (but not catching) salmon, the whitetail bucks at home have been making the rounds.
I would guess these two handsome boys are twin brothers. I say that because of their nearly identical racks. (Notice the unusually long brow tines.)
A neighbor took this photo a couple of days ago. That's our driveway in the background.
It's typical of late summer - bucks, now fully antlered, become more conspicuous. Somehow they seem to know that the archery hunting season - when it will be time for them to vanish again - is still seven weeks away.
