Hoplitis fulgida (fulgid is Latin for bling). This is one of our early shots, taken of a bee from Grand Teton National Park. It is a terrible specimen in many ways, not symmetrically arrayed, a bit crumpled, probably why I had ignored it. However, a closer look makes me appreciate its crumpledness, in a way it honors the deadness of the specimen without hiding its beauty. Two versions, one with some of the original highlights in the photo (slightly enhanced) Photo by Sierra Williams (now getting a Chemistry Degree on the west Coast!).

draco: favorite chain setups?
Hm, I’m not sure! I tend to use sandwich or stair the most, GTR is fun but i’m out of practice. I’m not sure if it’s a setup exactly but I find flat stacking appealing despite being bad at it? probably because it conserves the most space to me.
maguro: favorite mode(s) to play?
I like…really like Tsu and Fever of course, Swap is great in PuyoTet! I always found spinner and underwater Puyo from 15th really fun too.
zed: favorite headcannons for any characters?
I actually really like nonbinary Klug and girl Strange… I like the headcanon of Ex seeing Tee as his own son too, and this is probably my own headcanon but I like the thought that everyone but Lidelle and Sig are from towns outside of Primp Town.
rider: favorite art style?
Fever 2 and 15th have my favorite art styles… It’s just so stunning and expressive without the use of heavy gradients on the characters!
