Well thankfully Homura-chan is pretty self reliant. She’s working, plus she always insists on doing the house work?? So the addition of a cat and some kittens aren’t the end of the world... You know how big my place is, it was always a little empty.

So it was someone’s four year anniversary! The mods behind @askthatoden and @fukupolice are two wonderful friends I’ve made through this RP community, and since Kaoru is the character I’ve got the strongest connections with their muses I thought it fitting that I draw him in celebration of what a wonderful occasion!

I’ve always felt incredibly close to Honkan-san. We began training at the police academy together so many years ago in the prime of our lives. They were always a great support to me, they were my best and only friend in that whole school. We’ve always been incredibly open, and honest with one another.

They were the only person I was able to be in touch with, while I was working away.... it was far, and few between and had to be done so secretly but if I hadn’t been in touch with some one I would have lost my mind.

Kaoru had been lounging around the house after having eaten some nice stir fry when his phone had given a little twinkling sound, telling him he had a text. Picking up the red and blue phone he held it up to see a text from Honkan-chan.

They wanted company going to the bathhouse.

Nobody said becoming a police man was going to be easy. Kaoru, who had decided on his life long career at the tender age of six, had been told that there was a lot of hard work to be done. You had to get really good grades to get into the police academy and then more studies came. Had to memorize laws, how to handle a weapon, and all a variety of things that kept him very busy with his friend Honkan-san who had started training the same year he had.

They even shared a bunk together on site at the academy so that was pretty nice. 

But what he hadn’t really been prepared for was having one of the other students in there with him having the ‘best luck’ to see him one night out of campus. The nights when Kaoru would go into town, finding the gentlemen’s clubs. He swore he’d been careful, but someone must have seen him.

Since not a few days later, after running the gauntlet and pushing himself to the limit he’d found himself on the receiving end of what could only be described as a hate group. They had walked with him at first, talking as if everything were normal but before too long...

Now he just felt dizzy, and sore, and he could taste his own blood on his tongue from a busted lip and probably busted nose, too. One eye was shut, and he felt sore in the rubs and along his back from where he’d been kicked, and hit. All the time they’d been shouting ‘faggot’ and ‘homo’ and other things. Words, just words, but while the words didn’t hurt the assault did.
