The only good thing about being up in the early morning... Nobody else around to witness you utterly suffering. The dark is still around, but the skyâs turning that grey-blue that shows the coming dawn and thatâs fine. That should suggest like...an hour or more before Ignis gets up to cook breakfast, right? Just enough time for a walk away from camp, hands in her jacket pockets and trying not to scream.
Itâs unfair. It really is. Why is it she has to deal with these stupid emotions, where they can continue life like nothing is wrong? Why canât she do that? She doesnât turn her head and just see friends... She sees people she likes and the bitterness for having feelings that wonât be returned makes her kick at a rock, watching it skitter away with a frown.
...Not even thatâs fun to watch or listen to. This is awful.
Rachael flops down, sighing softly as she pulls up her knees, arms wrapping over them so she can put her head down.
It hurts. This is awful. The worst. She hates this. They might...they could hate her...
She doesnât want these kind of feelings, but here they are, all the same.
