Mason’s legs were swung over Cameron’s lap, curled into the kiwi’s side as he scrolled mindlessly through the photos on his phone, Cameron running his hand softly up and down Mason’s thigh as he looked at the photos with him.

They were supposed to be recording a new podcast today, but everyone seemed to be running late so they took it as an opportunity to simply enjoy one another’s company. And by enjoying that meant simply curling together into one unit since neither felt like talking very much at the moment. A few soft giggles escaped from the pair as they looked at a photo of Cam trying to wash spaghetti sauce out of a white shirt while Mason simply took a smiling selfie next to him.

“I’m still mad about that shirt…” Cam muttered, planting a soft kiss on Mason’s forehead as he continued to scroll.

The sound of a door opening seemed distant to the pair, and only seemed to process between them as they heard a pair of footsteps and soft words that became louder before cutting off completely. 

Silence filled the room, the couple knowing that somebody was standing behind them but too scared to turn around and face them. 

A few more beats. Too many beats if you were to ask Mason. He turned around to see Matt handing Tobi a 20 dollar bill, a large smirk across her face as they said nothing and sat down at the recording table together.
