I’m glad I came back to the dorm early today. Aside from the fact that it is sweltering hot today (sans humidity!), I am able to appreciate the… view (?) from my window for the very first time. I’m not sure if view is the right word because there is sound and feeling involved as well. Maybe I mean to say atmosphere… I don’t know.　とにかく、it’s absolutely WONDERFUL!! My window faces the west so the sunlight beams into my room through the trees; something I never got when I lived in Coffrin. It feels pleasant to have the warm sun hitting you but not really hitting you so directly (it’s hit me enough on the way to and from the train station today. I swear to god, I’m getting much darker here than I did the entire summer at home -_-). Then there is the breeze the rustles through the leaves every now and again. On top of that is the still silence of the neighborhood, complimented by the sounds of the sprinkler watering the small field next to the dorm, the cars and the bicycles every now and again. Oh and some sort of birds or bugs or something. It all just goes together. Then to top it all off there are the other buildings off in the distance. This feels like a good change to me. I’m neither facing another brick wall nor alone staring out into endless nothingness. It’s very nice here in Fuchuu.
