In fact, most of the girl’s life was spent escaping from her parents, stealing food in order to survive, and eventually it all blew out of proportion when she turned seventeen, and started committing crimes just for the fun of it. Aphrodite had always been the black sheep of her family. Her parents often ignored her because she “wasn’t ladylike” and didn’t “carry herself well.” She was always told to “Be a woman” and not to be “A diry pig”, but of course those comments only pushed her to rebel to an extreme. When she turned nineteen, the blonde made an awful mistake and set up a deal with a hitman to get back at one of her enemies for stealing money from her bag. Yet she didn’t have the money to pay the man for the job, and instead was forced to work out a deal where she’d work for him for three weeks. This man was part of the Hoxton gang, and while she was stuck in a cramped room doing accounting work, he was discussing the admittance of his new employee into the gang. The man had clearly seen potential from day one, and it wasn’t long before she was proposed with her first job of initiation. Kill someone. Little did she (and they for that matter) know, that someone was her mother and father. & from then on, she wove into the gang and made the members her “family”.

character’s name: vernon blake character’s age: 25 faceclaim: peter o'toole stereotype: the angry young man which gang are they a part of? the elephant & castle mob why did they join the gang? having grown up in leeds during the war, he knows what it’s like to be restricted, to be rationed, to be bombed, and he wants no more of that. societal expectations (that he should find a job when unemployment is rampant; that he should take a wife and work a 9-to-5 schedule) have pushed him over the edge and caused him to join up. vernon’s father was also a bookie, and the love of the races has been part of him since an early age, so it is only natural that he wants to ally himself with the gang that rules the racecourses. he is angry at the way things are in london, angry about the discrimination he receives because he is irish, and needs an outlet to release this anger.
