I see Natsu being a bit down because he is told he will die... And then, there is something happening and he thinks of Lucy : (A voice telling him "are you already giving up?" or "her smile" or a vision of her, or memories or something like that, or the moment with Gildartz during the one year skip). & then he smiles and says : - Sorry, I promised Lucy I would always protect her. - I still have things to do (memory of him & happy talking about that, with Lucy nearby) - I want to protect FT/Lucy's future. I really hope sth like that will happen :3 But, as always, I will agree with Mashima's choices :D
