Steve & Lucas ~ Family Video
Erica had Tina over, who was supposed to sleep at their place tonight. And apparently Lucas’ parents had promised to get the girls a cool movie from the video store for their sleepover. Except they’d apparently forgotten about it. And now Lucas’s mom was in the middle of making dinner, and his dad didn’t feel like heading out anymore either. So Lucas got assigned the task of picking up a movie for the girls at Family Video. As if he didn’t maybe have better things to do aswell! On top of that, the girls had locked themselves into Erica’s room and weren’t responding at all, so Lucas didn’t even know what kind of movie he was supposed to get. How was he supposed to know what two twelve-year-old girls wanted to watch?
In the end, though, he couldn’t really argue his way out of it and rode his bike over to Family Video. Maybe Robin or Steve were working tonight—at least then he could chat with them for a bit. When Lucas entered the store and the little bell above the door rang, he actually spotted Steve behind the counter. Lucas had alwys looked up to Steve a little and had secretly always wanted to be as cool as him. And not just when it came to basketball—Steve was kind of a role model all around.
“Hey, Harrington!” he greeted him, stepping up to the counter with a small grin. “What’s up?” “I’m looking for a movie for a sleepover party for two little girls,” Lucas explained right away, rolling his eyes briefly. “You’re the expert here! You’ve gotta help me!” / @kiingsteve
