“That gelato was great, I’ll give you that,” Tessa said with a smile. It was the best gelato in the city and the woman had gone many times before, the first time with her father. But Benjamin was so eager to show her something, to give her a new experience and show her around that she had gone with it. She had tried a new flavor, so there was that. “Now it’s my turn to bring you to something delicious.” The plan was to go to the pretzel place she used to go with Adrian. They had the best ones in the city, maybe even the East Coast. The city was hot, a heat wave hitting hard and giving no sign of slowing. She had the AC in her place, but she liked walking around the city with the other. “We can come back to something cooler after if you want.”
